Home My WebLink About1978-05-17 TOWN OF DANBY SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES May 17 , 1978 A special meeting of the Danby Town Board was called to order at 7 : 30 P . M . at the Danby Town Hall , 1830 Danby Road , Town of Danby , County of Tompkins and State of New York on May 17 , 1978 . The purpose of the meeting was to name spur roads and adopt the proposed town map as the official town map . Board members present : Supervisor A . Francis Wright Councilman Ralph Wilbur Councilman Dorothy Roaberts Councilman Robert Snedden iBoard member absent : Justice Milton Todd After discussion of the names to be used for spur roads shown on the proposed map but not named , Councilman Dorothy Roberts moved the resolution to adopt the proposed town map as the official town map with the following names for spur roads added : the spur off Coddington Road , Olsefski Road ; the spur off Miller Road East , Gilbert Road ; the spur off Route 96B between Nelson Road and Muzzy Road , Old Town Road ; the spur off Brown Road , Emery Road ; and the spur off West Danby Road and Brown Road , Short Road . Also the section marked " proposed to be abandoned " be changed to read " proposed rights - of - way " . The motion was seconded by Councilman Ralph Wilbur . RESOLUTION # 2:0 NAME SPUR ROADS ON PROPOSED TOWN MAP AND ADOPT IT AS THE OFFICIAL TOWN MAP . Roll Call Vote : Wright - aye Wilbur - aye Roberts - aye Snedden - aye Carried by a vote of four ayes and no noes . In other business Councilman Ralph Wilbur made the motion to set the date for opening of bids for the town barn roof and the truck for the highway department as June 12 , 1978 at 7 : 30 P . M . at the Town Hall immediately preceding the regular meeting of the Town Board . Supervisor A . Francis Wright seconded the motion which was carried by a vote of four ayes and no noes . As all business before the board for this special meeting was taken care of , the meeting was adjourned at 9 : 30 P : M . WHEREAS , a special meeting of the Danby Town Board was held May 17 , 1978 at the Town Hall at 7 : 30 P . M . for the purpose of naming spur ® roads and adopting the proposed town map as the official town map , and WHEREAS , a proposed town map was submitted to the town board by the planning board which contained spur roads with no names , and WHEREAS , the following names were given to the spur roads : the spur off Coddington Road , Olsefski Road ; the spur off Miller Road East , Gilbert Road ; the spur off Route 96B between Nelson Road and Muzzy Road , Old Town Road ; the spur off Brown Road , Emery Road and the spur off West Danby Road and Brown Road , Short Road , acid WHEREAS , the section marked " proposed to be abandoned " was changed " proposed read proposed rights - of - way " , and now therefore BE IT RESOLVED , that the proposed town map with the spur roads named and the wording of one section changed be adopted as the official town map .
