HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-05-24 TOWN OF DANBY PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED IMPLEMENTATION OF SEQRA May 24 , 1977 The Town Board of the Town of Danby held a public hearing on the proposed implementation of the State Enviromental Quality Review Act at the Danby Town Hall , May 24 , 1977 , at 8 : 00 P . M . Notice of the public hearing was duly advertised in the Ithaca Journal in the May lahissue as shown by affidavit presented to the board . III Board members present : Supervisor A . Francis Wright Councilman Paul Smith Justice Floyd Dorn • Board members absent : Councilman Ralph Wilbur Justice Milton Todd Others present : Dan Hoffman , Rick Dobson , Gary Evans , Ernest Cole , James Murinchack , Carol Chock , Mrs . Randall , counsel Shirley Evans . Gary Evans from the Tompkins County Planning Office submitted a draft of a proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance to bring the Town of Danby into compliance with SEQRA and to establish land use controls in flood hazard areas in conformance with Federal Insurance Administration regulations . The draft was reviewed and discussed at length . The following people were in favor of amending the zoning ordinance : Rick Dobson , James Murinchack , Mrs . Randall , Carol Chock , Dan Hoffman , and Ernest Cole . All persons desiring to be heard , having been heard , the hearing was adjourned at 9 : 30 P . M .
