PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED REVISIONS
To The
DANBY ZONING ORDINANCE
November 15 , 1976
The Town Board of the Town of Danby held a public hearing on the
proposed revisions to the Danby Zoning Ordinance at the Danby Town
Hall , 1830 Danby Road , November 15 , 1976 at 8 : 00 P . M . Notice of the
public hearing was duly advertised in the Ithaca Journal in the
November 1st and November 8th issues and notice posted .
Board members present : Supervisor A . Francis Wright
Councilman Ralph Wilbur
Councilman Paul Smith
Justice Milton Todd
Justice Floyd Dorn
Planning Board members present : Chairman Ernest Cole , Alberta Wilbur ,
E dgar Oltz , Donald Graham .
Appeals Board members present : Edward Roberts , James Murinchack ,
John Wilkinson , Kurt Bogart .
Approximately 100 people attended the hearing . The following people
were recognized or introduced themselves : Gordon Roberts , Gary Evans ,
Attorney Richard Thaler , Albert Sebesta , Edward and Donna Inman ,

E rnest Cole , Chairman of the Town od Danby Planning Board , gave a
brief summary of how the present zoning ordinance was revised and
why it needed to be revised . The planning board has worked two
years on these revisions and now needs input from the public .
Gary Evans , from the county planning office , noted the areas of
change between the present ordinance and the new proposed ordinance .
He stated that the new ordinance is more detailed .
The public then expressed their opinions and asked questions . One
person spoke in favor of the new revised ordinance , approximately
twenty - five people had questions or spoke against the revised
• ordinance .
All persons desiring to be heard , having been heard , the hearing
was terminated at 10 : 00 P . M .
