Present : Cole , Ackerman , Smith , Weitzel , Olson
Also present : Zoning. Officer Roberts , Edgar Oltz
In reviewing a planned development propoal for a mobile
home park from Clarence and Lloyd French , the thought was
that not enough planning has gone into it .
The board felt that the lots were too small, , even
taking into consideration that the owners intend to limit the
length of trailers that they will allow .
The planned streets or driveways were thought to be too
narrow ( 25 foot right - of - way ) to allow ample room for extra
parking and also a hazard in the event of necessity of fire
equipment access .
It was also thought that these types of ideas were
followed in the recent mobile home development and that it
would be unfair to allow less in other instances .
There were no volunteers as a replacement for Chairman
of the Board . Gordon Roberts suggested that we consider
doing what other boards have attempted doing with much
success and that is to let the senior member be chairman .
Edgar Oltz _has expressed an interest in serving on the
board and there were no dissenting opinions on behalf of
the board .
The question was brought up as to how close one should
be able to park to the road , and if the " safety lane " is
considered part of the road or not . The question was
brought about relative to one certain wrecker that persists
on parking very close to the road and if something could
be done about it , even if it required writing a letter
to the state dept . of highways .
Respectfully submitted ,
Richard Olson
