Meeting called to order at 5:05 pm by Ben Coakley
Attending: Ben Coakley, Leonard Dodge, Tod Sukontarak, Shawn Wentz, Joel Gagnon.
The meeting was dedicated to the discussion of the draft Engineering RFQ packet from Becky Sims at RCAP. Notes from the discussion:
Section 1-2: Tod brought up that the question of source water redundancy has been studied in the past, and few practical solutions have been found. There was some question of whether
including it in this RFQ would be worthwhile. However, a source water redundancy plan might improve our chances of receiving funding.
Section 1-10: Shawn will work with other district staff to prepare the data on this list.
Section 1-11: This section brings up the question of the overall project timeline. If we are able to finalize the RFQ and recommend its adoption by our 9/3 meeting, then the Town Board
would be able to act at their 9/8 meeting. Responses from engineering firms would then be due at the end of October, and the selection process would be complete by the end of 2025.
The committee will consult with Greg Hutnik, Town Planner, to discuss the process for email submissions.
The committee members in attendance were generally comfortable with the draft. Ben will discuss the questions above with Becky, and work towards finalizing the draft.
