West Danby Water District Meeting
Monthly minutes for Wednesday, November 1, 2025
Meeting called to order at 5pm by Chairman Ben Coakley
Present: Scott Wendt, Shawn Wendt, Ben Coakley, Marrell Cortright,Skip Fairchild, Tod Sukontarak, Lenny Dodge, Code Officer Steve Cortright, Becky Sims (RCAP), Joel Gagnon and representatives
from several engineering firms.
A brief overview from Ben to the engineers present at this meeting about our system, the areas of our water system that we think this study needs to cover/include and discussed fire
hydrants.
Question and answer period. People present were allowed to make notes and take digital pictures of any of the studies, information and reports that were laid out to be read and gone
over and ask any questions they had.
Vouchers -
Yaws - regular monthly test - $55.00
Amrex - regular monthly chlorine delivery - $332.00
Post Office- stamps - (Charge card) - $15.60
Atlantic Inland Electrical Inspection Co. - new office final inspection - reimbursement to Steve Cortright for paying for the visit - $175.00
Badger Hosting Service - $154.00
Also: under finances - total deposits for 4th quarter to date - $4,741.20
Last quarter deposits ended up totaling - $10,539.11
Discussed what reports and information needs taken up to town hall to be viewed by any other willing engineering firms. The Water clerk will deliver those to the Town Clerk tomorrow,
Thursday, November 6th.
Operators Report - All is good, running smoothly. Average daily pumping - 10,752 gals. Scott and Shawn flushed the north and south end of the system on September 8th.The pressure issue
on Sation Rd is cleaned out, blown out and pressure is restored to normal. The discussion about purchasing a diffuser to check the water pressure of the fire hydrants. Shawn did research
a unit - findings - one from the Pollard Co. is $580, the Darley Co is $764 and from Fire Pump.Com the cost is $569. Scott and Shawn would prefer to order from Pollard since we already
have an account with them. Skip made the motion to order one from Pollard, Tod seconded this and all were in favor.
Evelyn Hendrix's home has been turned off for the winter season.
RFQ Workshop - we need to get together and look over the RFQ scoring sheets that Becky Sims sent us. Workshop will be on Tuesday, November 18th at 6pm.
Office Update - The final electrical inspection was completed but the inspector issued the Certificate of Occupancy to the wrong township. We are waiting on a corrected one.
Both water operators have requested that the clerk be approved to purchase a 3ft by 4ft white board for the office. Skip made this motion and Lenny seconded this. All were in favor.
Motion to adjourn made by Tod, seconded by Skip. All in favor. Meeting adjourned at 6:53pm
