APPROVAL OF MINUTES: August 2025
1. Status of current Easements when are you monitoring your easement in 2025? Have
monitoring reports for previous years been found and put in easement folder? parcels and
parcel parents.
2. Easement outreach. suggestions on 20+ acres/contiguous -to-conserved-lands list of
owners to contact.
3. How to apply for tax benefits of easement. Brittany
4. How to talk about easements to prospective Danby land owners. What is possible and
impossible in each zone. How have the iterations of our boilerplate changed. What are
some of the special ‘bespoke’ arrangements that we have set up in the past.
5. Firm up date a nd publicity for presentation on Lindsey Parsons bird banding station.

7. Updates on on-going easements
a)Sherman – Has Brittany heard back from Ruth? Has Parcel boundary description
been added? J.Zisk
b)Olsefsky- Corbit in touch with landowner. draft baseline report is in files. look at
cabin language in Melchen /Palmer easement for area to set aside for cabin . What
else do we need to move forward?
8. Altman easement now has incorporation of landowner comments . Waiting to hear back
from Ben on final 2 items, then GK, then CAC for final review, then TB, sign and file.
9.Timber Harvesting Law , Highway has weighed in (planner will be enforcer ), last look

10. Blurb for Danby Newsletter. someone to volunteer when M. Corbit can’t write it.
Discuss change from monthly to quarterly?
11. Volunteer easement monitor suggestions. Ma ke a plan to contact potential volunteers.
