Valley,Tioga County Fall of 2025 and D.Dougherty and I.Ross to attend Firefighter II in Horseheads in Chemung County Fall of 2025.
Class Schedules and District Training Forms needs to be submitted to the District Secretary. Mileage reimbursement approved under

• Commissioner Westmiller reported roof leak at the Danby Station was repaired.

o The Town of Danby did some yard work. Discussion held on grading problem. Com. Westmiller will reach out to the
Highway Superintendent.

• Chief Gaden reported the AEDs all need to be brought to the Danby Station either May 281h or May 29th for annual testing.
Danby EMS Director is reaching out to the West Danby EMS Director to coordinate this.

MEMBERSHIP/TRAINING:
• 2025 mandatory physicals are scheduled for June 23,2025,starting at 5:00 p.m,
• Members who received pre-physical confidential letters were email6d to se District Secretary
• Discussion on holding 2026 physicals in April.Chiefs were advised to reschedule their business mectings on April 13,
2026,to either the Monday before or the Monday after.This4fil..free up a training night in June.AprE9,-2027,is also
set for physicals in 2027.

RESOLUTION AWARDING BID OF FIRE APPARATUS
WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Danby Fire District having
duly considered the bids received and opened on April 21, 2025, for the purchase of a
pumper tanker fire apparatus ("Apparatus") following published notice thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE IT IS
RESOLVED, that, according to the New York State Emmental Quality Review
Act ("SEQR"), the purchase of fire apparatus is deemed t Type 11 action pursuant
to 6 NYCRR 617.5(c)(31), has been found to not have a iM ant a l�erse impact on the
environment, and has been statutorily exempted from $.E R review; l it is further

BOND RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF
THE DANBY FIRE DISTRICT, TOWN OF DANBY, TOMPKINS COUNTY,
NEW YORK(THE "DISTRICT"), AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION AND
EQUIPPING OF A PUMPER TANKER FIRE APPARATUS WITH
ATTENDANT EQUIPMENT AND APPLIANCES AND SERVICES
RELATED THERETO; ESTIMATING THE TOTAL COST THEREOF AT
$656,634; APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT THEREFOR; AND
AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $450,000.00 IN SERIAL AND/OR
STATUTORY INSTALLMENT BONDS OF THE DISTRI "O FINANCE
SAID APPROPRIATION
WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners of Danby Fire District, Town of
Danby, Tompkins County, New York (the "District") dgsres to have the District undertake
the acquisition and equipping of a pumper tanker fire #paratus with attendant appliances
and related and incidental equipment and servic
es, in connection with the foregoing

NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF FIRS C.Of1tSInNERS OF THE DANBY
FIRE DISTRICT, TOWN OF DANBY, TOMPKII bb** NTY, NEW YORK (THE
"DISTRICT") HEREBY RESOLVES (by the;favorable vote of not less than three-fifths of
all its members), AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The District is here eby authorized _to acquire the Apparatus as
hereinabove described, and to:;_ issue $4501000:00 prin ipal amount of serial and/or
statutory installment Lands: _�U-rs�uant to tie provisions of the Local Finance Law,
constituting Chapter 3�- i of the C�rnsolidate Laws of the State of New York (the "Law")
to finance the estir�ted cost of tfte Apparatus.
SECTION 2. It eernl that_the aggregate maximum estimated cost
of the afid specific eject or purpose is $656 634, said amount is hereby
appropr it
therefor=and theplan for the financing thereof shall consist of the issuance
of the 50,000.00 in serial andil statutory installment bonds of the District authorized
to b"ssued pursuant"..to this esolution, or bond anticipation notes issued in
anticipation of such serial and/or statutory installment bonds.
SECTION.3. It is hereby determined that the period of probable usefulness of the
aforesaid specific objects purpose is twenty (20) years, pursuant to subdivision 27 of
Section 11.00(a) of hb6 Law.
SECTION 4. Current funds are not required to be provided prior to the issuance
of the bonds authorized by this Resolution or any bond anticipation notes issued in
anticipation thereof, pursuant to Section 107.00(d)(9) of the Law.
SECTION 5. The temporary use of available funds of the District not immediately
required for the purpose or purposes for which the same were borrowed, raised or
otherwise created, is hereby authorized pursuant to Section 165.10 of the Law, for the
capital purposes described in Section 1 of this Resolution. This Resolution shall
constitute a declaration of official intent to reimburse the expenditures authorized by
Section 1 hereof with the proceeds of the bonds and bond anticipation notes authorized
herein, as required by United States Treasury Regulation Section 1.150-2.
SECTION 6. Each of the serial and/or statutory installment bonds authorized by
this Resolution and any bond anticipation notes issued in anticipation of said bonds shall
contain the recital of validity prescribed by Section 52.00 of the Law and said serial and/or
statutory installment bonds and any bond anticipation notes issued"in anticipation of said
bonds shall be general obligations of the District, payable as to boa principal and interest
by a general tax upon all the real property within the District with�� f legal or constitutional
-2 limitation as to rate or amount. The faith and credit of the DeM:are hereby irrevocably
pledged to the punctual payment of the principal andres en said serial and/or
statutoryinstallment bonds and bond anticipation notes and r6 1916ns shall be made

redemption of the bonds and bond anticipation noe to mature in such year and (b) the
payment of interest to be due and payable in suckyear.

SECTION 7. Subject to the provisions of-th-J. Resolution and of the Law;'pursuant
to the provisions of Section 30.00 relative to the auhorztion of the issuance of serial
and/or statutory installment bonds a - bond anticipation notes or the renewals of said
obligations and of Sections 21.00, 50. , 56.00 thruh 60.00 and 62.10 and 63.00
of the Law, the powers and duties of _the ward of Fi reGommissioners relative to
authorizing serial and/or statutory installment bone and bond anticipation notes and

SECTION 9. Pursuant to Section 38.00 of the Law, this Resolution shall be subject
to a mandatory referendum, to be held at a special election on June 17, 2025, in the
manner prescribed by Sections 175, 175-c and 179 of the Town Law of the State of New
York. This Resolution shall not take effect until approved by the affirmative vote of a
majority of the duly qualified voters of the District voting on such proposition. As soon as
reasonably possible after the date that this Resolution takes effect, the Secretary of the
District is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be
published in full in the Ithaca Journal, which is the designated official newspaper of the

District for such purposes and having a general circulation within the District, together
with a notice of the Secretary of the District in substantially the form provided in Section
81.00 of the Law.
SECTION 10. The validity of the bonds authorized by this Resolution and of any
bond anticipation notes issued in anticipation of said bonds may be contested only if:
(a) such obligations are authorized for an object or purpose for which the
District is not authorized to expend money; or
(b) the provisions of law which should be complied:Wftii, at the date of the
