Skip made the motion to accept the minutes as sent out. Peter seconded this. All were in favor. The MOU with the Fire District was rejected by their lawyer, so we need to discuss options for office space. Long discussions and many options thrown around. We feel that to serve our needs we need a 12' x 14' building. It was the general feeling that a prebuilt shed could be the best option money wise. Marrell will visit some places to get an idea of what the cost might be. A couple of key points - it will have to be wired by a licensed electrician and the door needs to open out, the floor needs to be insulated. Steve provided a map of our property lines to show that we could put this up by our pump house and have the electricity come from there. Operator Report - Scott - The leak at 500 Brown rd has been fixed. The pump is now only running once every three days. Had to mark Hillview rd again for road work. Scott and Shawn attended the WHO workshop on Friday, March 29th. They both got 6 hours credit. Old Business - Fire Hydrant replacement - it's looking like each hydrant could cost around $10,000 each. Peter makes the motion that we approach the town board to request that some of the ARPA money held by the town be used to replace the three hydrants. Skip seconded this motion and all were in favor. On a side note, an alternative solution may be to look for grants to fund the replacement. We should attend the May 6th town board meeting to convey our request. The town is not going forward with the GIS project soon, but they will still be doing so at some point in the future. So we need to keep viewing the current GIS system through RCAP like we have been. Peter handed out a write up of the employee structure of the water district. New Business - There's water quality grants available that we could be applying for. If we want to the first deadline this year is June 14. Another side note, if we want to apply to grants, we will need an engineering study conducted on our system to apply with. We will be flushing hydrants on May 4th and 5th. Skip made the motion to adjourn, Peter seconded this and all were in favor. Meeting adjourned at 6:45pm Respectfully Submitted, Marrell Cortright Additions: Vouchers - The Board members all signed these after the meeting so here they are as an addition to the monthly minutes.
