PUBLIC HEARING -WHITE HAWK ECOVILLAGE
FEBRUARY 15, 2007

Public Hearing Declared Oven
Chairperson Robert Roe declared the Public Hearing Open at 7:10 p.m. and read the following Public
Hearing Notice:"PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Planning Board of the Town ofDanbywill hold
a public hearing on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m .at the Town of Danby Town Hall,1830
Darby Road, Ithaca, NY to Consider a Recommendation to the Town Board with respect to approval
of the General Plan, and Establishment of a Planned Development Zone for, "White Hawk
Ecovillage", proposed to be located on the west side of Darby Road on Tax Parcels 7.-1-68 and 7.-1-
69.1. The project is proposed to consist of 30 dwelling units, a common house, and accessory
structures. Henry Peterson, property owner/applicant.
The Application maybe viewed at the Town Clerk's office during regular office hours.
All persons will be heard either in person or in writing.

Ronda Roaring - there are serious questions that need to be addressed by the Town before they allow
Mr. Peterson to go forward. She asked what kind of testing has been done to determine if there is
sufficient water is available.
Susan Beeners said that there are provisions in the proposed local law for suitable arrangements for
continued access from the road to the dwellings. There is also a provision where the road could be

offered for dedication to the Town at some point and would have to be brought up to the Town
Highway specifications. The septic system and water supply and the requirement of the DEC for a
stormwater pollution prevention plan be filed before construction can be started. Susan described
the plan to the board and public.
Public Hearing Declared Closed
Chairperson Roe declared the public hearing closed at 7:25 p.m.
