AGENDA MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER 1, 2007

The Agenda meeting was called to order at 6:37 p.m.
Supervisor Dietrich reported that we have a new truck cab and chassis that is now in Watertown,
NY. The highway superintendent and his deputy will go to Watertown later this week to inspect
the chassis to make sure it meets the specifications. The highway report will be submitted to the
town clerk later this week.
Highway Superintendent Thurnheer asked if any of the Board had questions regarding the truck
chassis. He said he is going to meet with Doug Welch on Wednesday ( in Watertown) to make
sure everything meets specifications. He also wants to make sure that the plow equipment meets
our specks. Andy reported that the highway department has been working to complete work on
East Miller Road and Hill Road.
Councilperson Beavers distributed copies of the Shared Service Agreement between the Water
District and the West Danby Fire District.
Tentative Budget
The Bookkeeper filed the Tentative 2008 Town Budget with the Clerk - October 1, 2007
Items Discussed for the A-eenda
1. Update on smoke detectors and sprinkler system for the Town Hall
2. SPCA - budget expected to double for the municipalities in Tompkins County. Abigail
Smith from the SPCA has been scheduled on the agenda..

4. Recommendation from Ag and Farmland Protection to Tompkins County Legislators to
change annual 30 day period for landowners for requesting addition to Ag Districts from
November Is' to February 1" of each year. - Consider endorsing their proposal.
5. Request for staff support for DEMPC - funds from Comp. Plan Contractural. - Suggested
by Supervisor that this item be by contract. The amount submitted is to be $4800.
Person for data entry could raise the amount by $1,000.
6. Another Addendum to the Agreement to Spend Highway Funds added to the Agenda
7. Bid Opening has an addendum to bid packages for the bid opening date and time to be
sent out on Tuesday, October 2. Bid Opening is at 6:00 p.m. on October 8, 2007
8 Draft Flag Lots - Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance - from the Code Enforcement
Officer Refer to the Planning Board with comments for comments and/or direction.
9. Budget workshop will be at 6:00 p.m. prior to the Board Meeting.
10.. Abigail Smith - SPCA - 6:30 p.m.
11 NIMS Implementation Coordinator - Resolution.
12. Budget Workshops set:

13. Special Meeting for the award of bid for Aquifer well drilling project - October, 15, 2008
at 6:30 p.m.
The Board reviewed the tentative budget that was filed tonight and the bookkeeper gave them an
update on the information.
