COUNTY REPRESENTATIVE REPORT County Representative Frank Proto will be unable to attend the July 15 meeting and gave his report to the Board tonight as follows: Recreation Partnership - The County is has been working on the Recreation Partnership since the end of last year. IDA - NYS is changing rules for Industrial Development Programs - law of sunset is in June. If not renewed it will cancel some County projects. The County is requesting that the sunset be reinstated. Funding to Universal Fund - Broadband Service - Supervisor Dietrich has asked that funding to the universal fund be included for broadband service. Workers Comnensation for Fire Stations - NYS no longer permits townships to pool Workers Compensation Insurance Policies between Fire Departments and Municipalities. Procedure for regulation or legislation that permits the pooling for emergency services for Workers Compensation is suggested. Fire Department Volunteers - A deduction in Income Tax is being considered to encourage more volunteers. Trash Haulers - large trucks hauling industrial waste from New Jersey are using NYS Rte. 79 and NYS Rte. 89 to Seneca (Green?) Meadows. Is another route possible as these roads are not built to take the beating from these large trucks. Affordable Housing,- drawbacks to the Affordable Housing Strategy - it is not that we are not supportive of trying to encourage people to own their own homes, the way it is written it gives an unfair advantage to a not -for -profit developer.
