TOWN BOARD MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 11, 2007

Meetine Called To Order
Supervisor Dietrich called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. and led all present to the Pledge of
Allegiance to the American flag.
ADDITIONS OR DELETIONS TO AGENDA:
1. Under Old Business - Truck Purchase
2. Under New Business - set dates for budget workshops.
Members of the Public
Ronda Roaring - asked when the board on the front of the building was going to be replaced.
Supervisor Dietrich reported that the board had been replaced.
REPORTS:
Highway Report - Highway Superintendent Andrew Thurnheer gave the highway report of their
activities for the month of August. A written report was received.
Zoning Report - Written report received . The Code Enforcement Officer has been
participating in mandated training and required training for building codes.
Planning Board - Supervisor Dietrich read a Planning Board motion addressed to the Town
Board regarding the upkeep of the town hall and grounds.

Next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 13, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. They are working on
contact listing and operation plans.
Recreation Partnership
Supervisor Dietrich said that the board will be discussing the revised agreement later in the
meeting.
Communitv Council
Dan Klein reported that the Community Council will be starting a film series, there are two (2)
concerts scheduled for this month. There was an increase in the participants at Jennings Pond.
West Danby Community Association has requested funds for a bus shelter.
Senior Citizens Report
Carol Sczepanski reported that the Senior Citizens met Thursday, September 6, 2007. A few of
the seniors were on a cruise. The group was entertained by Pamela Goddard and greatly
enjoyed. Meetings will be at noon beginning in October.
Dog Control
The Town has received a letter from the SPCA indicating that the fees for their service will
increase substantially for animal control. The Tompkins County Town Clerks will be meeting
next month with a representative from New York State Agriculture and Markets to review
options for dog control.

1. Letter from the Fire Department regarding lack of fire protection system.
2. Thank you from Danby Volunteer Fire Company
3. Memo from the bookkeeper regarding financing for new highway truck.
4. Notice from SPCA regarding increased funding
