TOWN BOARD MINUTES

Following interviews for Alternate Planning Board Members, Supervisor Dietrich called the
meeting to order at 6:55 P.M and led all present to the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag.
Cancellation of Public Hearing - Pronosed Subdivision Regulations Local Law
RESOLUTION NO.58 OF 2007
CANCELLATION OF PUBLIC HEARING
By Councilperson Varona-Lacey: Seconded by Councilperson Nolte
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Danby hereby cancels the public hearing
related to the proposed Local Law Amending the Subdivision Regulations of the Town of Danby,
New York, which public hearing was intended to be held on July 16, 2007 and which
cancellation results from improper scheduling of said hearing.
A roll call vote on the resolution resulted as follows:

ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA:
1. Under Old Business - addition of Subdivision Regulations discussion.

PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
Town Clerk reported that the June Board Minutes are in Draft Form and the Final Draft will be
mailed and will include the Warrant Totals.
Members of the Public:
George Blanchard asked if there would be discussion on the Subdivision Regulations and zoning.
REPORTS:
County Representative Report - was given at the Agenda Meeting July 9, 2007
EMC - No Report
Highway Report - No written report was received. Andrew Thurnheer reported that the
Highway Department has been working on East Miller Road and getting ready to oil and stone.
The Highway Secretary will e-mail the board the Highway Report on Tuesday. He has
reviewed all the bids for Bids No. 1 and No. 2. received for the purchase of a new Highway
Truck Chasis. He described the bid packages he has received and asked the Board to consider
award of bid on August 6, 2007,
The Board discussed how financing for new equipment would be obtained.
Motion to Schedule A Special Meeting - August 6, 2007
A motion was made by Councilperson Beavers and seconded by Councilperson Salino that the
Town Board of the Town of Danby schedule a Special Meeting of the Town Board for August 6,
2007, following the Agenda Meeting to Consider Award of Bid for the New Highway Truck for
the Highway Department.
A roll call vote on the motion resulted as follows:

Following Interviews for Planning Board Alternates, Supervisor Dietrich called the meeting to
order and led all present to the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag.
First order of business- Officially cancelling the published public hearing for the Proposed
Subdivision Regulations.

Privileze of the Floor:
Councilperson Beavers gave hats off to Sue Beeners on Danby Fun Day and a big thanks to the
Fire Department and all the participants and volunteers who helped with events.
Sue Beeners said that in honor of John Smith and saying "you've got to run it like an Incendent
Command".
George Blanchard - asked if zoning was going to be discussed tonight as you cancelled the
hearing.
Supervisor Dietrich said that zoning and the subdivisions would be discussed by the Town Board
tonight.
REPORTS:
The County Representative came to the Agenda Meeting and gave his report.
Highway Report: Highway Superintendent Andrew Thurnheer said that they have been working
on East Miller Road and hauling in stone. A written report will be sent by the Highway
Department Secretary. He reported on the bids received for the highway truck and equipment.
He described the bids in detail to the Board and the difference between the steel and stainless
steel box.
The Board will discuss funding for the purchase of a new highway truck with the bookkeeper
before making a decision.
Zoning Report - June report received.
Susan Beeners urged the Board to move forward on the Proposed Local Law Amending the
Subdivision Regulations.
Planning Board Report:
Three public hearings are scheduled for the July Meeting of the Planning Board.
Supervisor Dietrich reported that he issued a fireworks permit
