CURRENT LEVEL (as of 17 August 2022): Level 2, Masks Optional
Levels of Operation for Town Hall
Using the levels outlined below as basic guidance, the Town Supervisor of the Town of Danby will use
information provided by State and local public health officials to determine when to have Town Hall
fully open with no restrictions through levels to Town Hall being closed to the public and employees
as well. The Town Supervisor will have sole authority to set the level of operation until review by the
Town Board at its next regular or special meeting and it will remain in effect unless modified to
another level up or down by vote of the Town Board.
By using the system of levels, the Town Supervisor and Town Board will be able to set Town Hall
operations ranging from full unencumbered operations through full closing, including reopening and
re-closing should the need arise.
LEVEL 1 : Town Hall fully open for meetings and other gatherings (including the library), with no
public health protocols in place.
LEVEL 2: Town Hall fully open, but with public health protocols in place, such as, masks, social
distancing etc.
LEVEL 3: Town Hall open to the public with access controlled and appointments required.
Library closed, but curbside pick-up available. All meetings and other gatherings virtual, unless in-
person meetings are required by law.
LEVEL 4: Town Hall closed to the public, staffed by essential employees only, staggered shifts
may be employed, all business to be conducted by videoconference, telephone, E -Mail, drop box and
US Postal Service. Town Board with input from Town Staff will determine which services will be
available. Public will be allowed to meet with staff if absolutely necessary -- outside if weather
permits. If weather does not permit, then in the main meeting hall following all public health
protocols and using proper PPE. All meetings virtual, unless in-person meetings are required by law.
Code Enforcement field activities will continue, following all public health protocols and using proper
PPE.
LEVEL 5: Town Hall closed to all staff and public, all business conducted remotely including any
code enforcement inspections.
