NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the proposed budget for the year of 2023 of the
Danby Fire District of the County of Tompkins and State of New York has been adopted
by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Danby Fire District.
A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at the Danby Fire District Fire Station, 1780
Danby Road, Ithaca, New York 14850 on the 18th day of October 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
A Special Meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners will follow at the later of the
conclusion of such Public Hearing or 7:30 p.m., at the same location.
Pursuant to Town Law §181, the Board of Fire Commissioners shall hold a public
hearing to discuss the contents of the proposed budget. At such hearing, any person may
be heard in favor of or against the proposed budget as compiled, or for or against any
item or items therein contained.
A copy of the proposed budget is available at the Office of the Town Clerk of the
Town of Danby at the Danby Town Hall, 1830 Danby Road, Ithaca, New York or at the
Office of Fire District Secretary at the Danby Fire District Fire Station, 1780 Danby
Road, Ithaca, New York where it may be inspected by any interested person by calling
(607) 319-4721 for an appointment.
