COMMENTS :
' DeMayo O Is distance froth highway reason for that autosalvage is not required
to have a fence ? Supervisor answered that there is no - ' requirement
in the zoning ordinance for a fence on a planned development area .
This might be an autosalvage business or any business where capital
and labor are involved .
Bryce : Under the appendix , junkyards only designate auto parts and old cars - s
why not ice boxes ? or whatever one might want to specialize in .
Supervisor answered it might be advisable to add and clerk to note .
DeMayo : Rates Danby as one of the prettiest towns in the nokl5heast ®®with
Ithaca College visualizes a beautiful residential areammand would
not like to see anything started to degrade the town .
Supervisor added- -words of advice to the zoning officer , the appeal?
board the planning board and the town board .
- Roberts : Is ' it possible that a planned development or autosalvage could be
held to put up a fence ?
Supervisor answered he supposed so , it would take some thought and is
discussion . First move would be to see the plans .
Makie added once adopted the plans go to the planning . Any action
other than what the planning board recommends , would take the vote
of ' four of the town board members .
