Collection & Disposal ® Wilbur - reported negative reation from the . public toward closing the present - dump. Suggested hiring someone with a bulldozer to push rubbish over the edge once a week until something . . can be worked out with the county or ourselves . One person from Candor Ali is interested - price $ 12000 a years Another person from this area is Interested but no price mentioned . Supervisor Cortright reported that Mr . Landstrom did meet with him and is,. .. interested in operating a sanitary landfill, but feels that it has to cover such an area and be a volume of business to afford his putting 1 machinery and a man at the dump . E . &G . was present to report that they have the assurance from their management that an extension can be built of roughly 30 , 000 feet into the Town of Denby and permission to ask for a franchise . Parts of the franchise were read authorizing the N . Y . S . E . &G . to hold a public hearing . . Councilman Makie moved to accept the New York State Electric & Gas application for a franchise and the resolution to hold a public hearing on February 10 , 1969 at 7 : 30 P . M . in the Town Hall . Seconded by Justice Dorn . 5 ayes , 0 noes , carried . Zoning. Ordinance ( Proposed. changes ) Supervisor Cortright reported the descriptions are not yet finalized which were discussed in the meeting . with the Planning Board . Lieberman Road - Councilman . Wilbur moved to accept the Planning Board ' s recommendation not to grant Mr . Liebermnan ' s request that the Town improve and maintain the road in front of his new home . B . recommendati& NEW BUSINESa Investment of Highway Funds in Certificate of Deposit m Discussion on the Supervisor ' s report that there is $ 26 , 000 in the Highway Fund and any portion of this may be placed on Certificate of Deposit for a period of one month to twelve months - with interest at 5 % at the Tompkins County Trust Company . Justice Wright moved to transfer funds from the Highway Fund to a Savings Certificate in the following manner : $ 5 , 000 . 00 for three months and $ 100000 for six months .
