PRELIMINARY
July 23, 2024 Commissioner Budget Workshop
Commissioner Westmiller called the workshop to order at 8:05 p.m. at the Danby Fire Station.

Discussion regarding the 2025 proposed budget, including the following:
Commissioner Freedman reported the tax cap is two percent (2%), target budget is $600,000.00.
Motion by Commissioner Westmiller, seconded by Commissioner Faehndrich, to enter executive session for the purpose of discussing
salaries for the Secretary and Treasurer. Present in Executive Session: Commissioners: Anderson, Faehndrich, Freedman, Griggs and
Westmiller. The Board entered Executive Session at 8:07 p.m.
Motion by Commissioner Westmiller, seconded by Commissioner Faehndrich, to end the Executive Session and to proceeds with open
session. Carried 5 yes 0 no. The Board returned to open session at 8:22 p.m..
Present in Open Session: Commissioners Anderson, Faehndrich, Freedman, Griggs and Westmiller, Chief Gaden, Chief McCray,
Secretary Gaden and Treasurer Hart.
Commissioner Freedman made a motion to set Secretary’s salary at $26,000.00 and Treasurer at $22,000.00 for 2025. Motion seconded
by Commissioner Griggs. 5 yes 0 no. Motion carried.
Commissioner Freedman asked Chief McCray to submit his Equipment List for 2025 by the next meeting.
