MINUTES OF THE 2023 BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING
October 18, 2022
The Danby Fire District 2023 Budget Hearing was called to order by Commissioner Westmiller at 7:00 pm on October
18, 2022 at the Danby Fire Station.

Wayne Westmiller Daniel Saracino, Danby 1st Asst. Chief

PLEDGE OF THE ALLEGIANCE
Commissioner Westmiller reviewed the requirements of the Public Hearing. The Proposed Budget was adopted by the
Board of Fire Commissioners on September 13, 2022.
Secretary Gaden submitted an Affidavit of Compliance with Town Law Section 181 regarding posting and publishing of
the Notice of Public Hearing.
Treasurer Hart filed the Property Tax Cap Form with the OSC as required.
Copies of the Proposed 2023 Budget ($578,000) were available to the public, prior to and at this Public Hearing.
Treasurer Hart gave a brief summary of the budget.
Public comment period: NONE
Commissioner Faehndrich moved to set the budget adoption date as October 18, 2022, seconded by Commissioner
Griggs, and carried with all in favor.
Commissioner Freedman moved to close the public hearing, seconded by Commissioner Faehndrich, and carried with all
in favor.
The Budget Hearing was adjourned at 7:08 p.m.
