A October 9 , 1968
he regular meeting of the Danby Planning Board , was held'at the home of Mrs .
Marge ion October 9 , 1968 at 8 P . M . The following being present : Joe Short ,
Mrs . Mildred Weitzel , Herb Muzzy , Wendell Bryce , Harry Hatfield and Marge Epp .
Minutes of the July 10th and Sept . 10th Planning Board e were read .
Herb Muzzy moved that the minutes be accepted as read , seconded by Mildred
Weitzel , motion was carried .
Joe Short questioned the building that has been erected on the property of the
Silver Core Motel Park . Harry Hatfield is trying to contact the owners of the building .
Town Board minutes of the Sept . 9th meeting were read .
Wendell Bryce feels that the Zoning should be enforced at the Silver Core Mobil
Homes . " We can ' t let anyone disobey the Zoning Laws . " Mr . Hatfield said that since
we haven ' t anything in zoning regulating Mobil Parks , therwe can ' t limit the trailers
at Silver Core Mobil Homes . He further stated that this is up to the Board of Health .
Marge Epp stated that one of the reasons we need ordinance for Mobil Parks is to .
control the number of them in the location of this Community . Wendell Bryce felt that
this could be done by establishing the necessary need for each one . ( 708 . 2
Joe Short asked for a defination regarding trailer park and mobil home .
TRAILER : Is any vehicle used as sleeping or living quarters , mounted on wheels
o r on supports and includes ' an auto trailer equipped with living or sleeping facilities
and a house car , and a vehicle which is customarily towed by an auto or truck and is
u sed for carrying goods , property , machinery , camping equipment , or as an office , and
is capable of being transported on public roads in one ( 1 ) hour .
MOBIL HOME : A movable living unit with or without wheels , used for living

quarters , which is capable of being transported on public roads within six ( 6 ) hour
period .

Wendell Bryce moved that the Planning Board go on record as being in favor of
Mobil Home Parks and that we draw up the specifications re : Trailer Parks and Mobil
Home Parks , as soon as possible . Seconded by Marge Epp , with 4 ayes & 1 nay .
A discussion was held regarding tha lack of enforced zoning , particularly pertain-
ing to lack of fence around Johanson and the Kouf property at the Danby Pond .
Marge Epp stated that you cannot expect this community to respect the zoning
laws , if the public is aware that they are not being strictly enforced throughout the •
e ntire Town .
A Committee of the Planning Board will proceed to work on setting up specifications
re : Trailer Parks & Mobil Home Parks , which will be submitted to the Town Board after •
approval by the Planning Board .
A discussion regarding the definition of industrial zoning followed .
A review of the present enforced zoning ordinance defines industrial district
underArticle 5 section 16 . The Planning Board feels that this is an acceptable
definition of industrial district and should be included in the proposed ordinance .
Copies of Article 5 attached .
Wendell Bryce made a motion the meeting be adjourned , seconded by Herb Muzzy
and was carried .
