Spoke to the Firefighter's tax exemption as a positive benefit for active volunteer emergency responders; this issue is also up for approval in the County Legislature. 7.1.2. Reported on the Board of Assessment Reviews on which the County Legislature voted to temporarily suspend them. 7.2. Highway Superintendent Keith Shipman, represented by Laura Shawley 7.2.1. Informed the public about cleaning up the ice over the last few days. 7.2.2. Regarding the culvert replacement project on West Jersey, the plan is to start tomorrow, Thursday 1/18, weather permitting. 7.3• Town Planner 7.3.1. West connected with Jay Franklin to verify that what we have on the agenda is the same as what the county would adopt. 7.3.2• The Planning Board did not meet in December, but met last night: 7.3.2.1• Prelim discussion of subdivision on Danby Road; 2 acre lot divided in half 7.3.2.2. SPR application discussed for tourist home at the top of Beardsley Lane; previously had undergone SPR but came back with a new SPR with a different purpose (i.e., tourist home) 7.3.3• No BZA meeting this month; expect to have one next month with upcoming applications 7.3.4• Many grants in process. 7.3.4.1. CDBG Kickstart has been submitted and is now rolling. RFP is out for a consultant to manage the program. 11-13 houses for low income homeowners to receive renovations 7.3.4.2• RPF to hire grant writer about ready to go out; looking for grant writer with experience in housing affordability 7.3.4.3• Restore NY application is on the agenda tonight 7.4• Town Clerk 8. Discussion around discrepancies between the number presented in this resolution and the procurement policy, as well as language involved.
