Commissioner Westmiller called the special meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners to order at 7:41 p.m.

Minutes: Commissioner Freedman moved to approve the minutes of the October 12, 2021 Board of Fire Commissioners regular
meeting minutes. Motion seconded by Commissioner Westmiller. Motion carried 3 yes 0 no.
Treasurer’s Report: NONE
APPROVAL OF BILLS:
Commissioner Anderson moved to pay the vouchers as audited and approved on Operating Account Abstract 10, claims 223-230 in the
amount of $7,266.36. Motion seconded by Commissioner Westmiller. Motion carried 3 yes 0 no.

CHIEF’S REPORTS:
WDFC: (Chief Wendt) NONE
DVFC: (Chief Gaden) requested permission to purchase replacement rechargeable flashlight for 442
Commissioner Freedman made a motion to approve up to $250.00 for the purchase of a replacement rechargeable flashlight for 442
through Galls or LaFrance. Motion seconded by Commissioner Westmiller. Motion carried 3 yes 0 no.

• Commissioner Freedman reported he has it drafted, and the Committee is reviewing it

BUDGET:
Commissioner Westmiller moved to adopt Resolution 2021-10-19.1 adopting the proposed 2022 budget for $567,000.00 staying within
the Tax Cap Levy as presented at the Public Hearing on October 19, 2021. Commissioner Anderson seconded. A roll call vote was
taken. Commissioner Anderson: Aye; Commissioner Faehndrich: Absent; Commissioner Finley: Absent; Commissioner Freedman:
Aye; Commissioner Westmiller: Aye
OLD BUSINESS:
• Commissioner Freedman reported the Hiring Committee interviewed Charles Lilly for the Treasurer position. Discussion
held
Commissioner Freedman made a motion to hire Charles Lilly for the position of Treasurer-in-Training subject to the Hiring
Committee performing reference checks. Hiring date to be November 1, 2021, at the pay scale of $1,500.00 per month. Motion
seconded by Commissioner Westmiller. Motion carried 3 yes 0 no.

RESOLUTION OF THE DANBY FIRE DISTRICT
TO ADOPT THE 2022 BUDGET
2021-10-19.1
RESOLVED, that pursuant to Town Law 181, the Danby Fire District adopts the 2021 budget for $567,000.00 staying within
the Tax Cap Levy as presented at the Public Hearing on October 19, 2021.
Commissioner Westmiller moved, Commissioner Anderson seconded, and the Board of Fire Commissioners voted as follows:

Commissioner Faehndrich Absent
Commissioner Finley Absent
Commissioner Freedman Aye
Commissioner Westmiller Aye
The foregoing resolution was thereupon declared duly adopted and approved by the Board of Fire Commissioners.
