Sczepanski, Town Clerk Supervisor Dietrich called the Special Meeting of the Town Board to order at 3 : 10 P .M. Motion to Move to Executive Session A motion was made by Councilperson Salino and seconded by Supervisor Dietrich at 3 : 10 p .m. that the board move into executive session to discuss pending litigation. A roll call vote on the motion resulted as follows : Beavers Aye Nolte Aye Salino Aye Varona-Lacey Aye Dietrich Aye Carried Unanimously Special Meeting Reconvened The Special Meeting of the board reconvened at 3 : 45 p .m . Preliminary Budget 2007 The Town Board reviewed the Preliminary Budget for Fiscal Year 2007 as amended on November 13 , 2007 . The bookkeeper reported that this budget represented a 1 . 8 % increase over 2006 . Motion to Approve the Fiscal Year 2007 Budget A motion was made by Supervisor Dietrich and seconded by Councilperson Salino that the Town Board of the Town of Danby move to adopt the Fiscal year 2007 Budget. A roll call vote on the motion resulted as follows : Beavers Aye Nolte Aye Salino Aye Varona-Lacey Aye Dietrich Aye Carried Unanimously RESOLUTION NO. 104 OF 2006 RESOLUTION ADOPTING ANNUAL TOWN OF DANBY BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007 By Supervisor Dietrich : Seconded by Councilperson Salino WHEREAS, the Town of Danby Town Board having, on November 13 , 2006 held a public hearing on the preliminary budget approved by this Board and filed with the Town Clerk for the fiscal year commencing January 1 , 2007 , and having heard all persons desiring to be heard in the matter, and the matter of the budget for this Town for such fiscal year having been fully discussed and considered, it is (<( (f 11 1 I l .I I I , 148 Q RESOLVED, that said preliminary budget as amended and revised and as hereinafter set forth is hereby adopted and that the several amounts stated in the column titled "Adopted" in Schedule Al , Schedule Dl , and SW1 and they hereby are appropriated for the objects and purposes specified and the salaries and wages stated in Schedule 5 of such budget shall be and are hereby fixed at the amounts shown therein effective January 1 , 2007 , and be it further RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk of the Town of Danby shall prepare and certify as provided by law, duplicate copies of the said annual budget hereby adopted, and deliver one of such copies to the Supervisor of the Town, and that she shall present such copy to the Board of Legislators of Tompkins County as required by law. A roll call vote on the resolution resulted as follows : Beavers Aye Nolte Aye Salino Aye Varona-Lacey Aye Dietrich Aye Carried Unanimously Other Discussion Remediation Project. The board discussed the increase of $ 10, 000 in the budget for of highway waste from the highway department for the remediation project. Other options will be pursued. CSEA Agreement The CSEA proposed agreement between the highway employees and the Town of Danby was discussed. Supervisor Dietrich said that he would like to have the contract for a period of only one year. Action on the agreement was deferred for more information on the proposal .
