TOWN BOARD MINUTES

Supervisor Dietrich called the Agenda Meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.
The Town Board received the following items to consider for the December 8, 2008 Town Board
Meeting.
OLD Business
1) Local Law No. 3 of 2008 - Emergency Towing Unlawfully Parked Vehicles
(Deferred from 11-10-08)
NEW ITEMS for consideration
1) SPCA CONTRACT FOR 2009
2) PROPOSED RESOLUTION - "Setting the Income Limits for a Partial Tax Exemption
for Real Property Owned by Disabled Persons with Limited Incomes".
3) PROPOSED RESOLUTION Recommendation on Proposed County Energy and
Greenhouse Gas Emissions Comprehensive Plan Element.
4) Authorization for Town Clerk to advertize for interested persons to apply for the annual
vacancies on the Planning Board and BZA
5) Set Date for Year-end Meeting of the Board and Organizational Meeting in January.

Highway Department Report
The SPCA - Contract for 2009 was submitted for the Board to review. Groten, Dryden,
Ulysses, and Lansing have hired other facilities for their dog control.
Supervisor Dietrich reported that there are some items that should be flushed out of the SPCA
Contract.
A proposed resolution "Setting the Income Limits for a Partial Tax Exemption for Real Property
Owned by Disabled Persons with Limited Incomes"was submitted to the Board to review.
Proposed Resolution - Recommendation on Proposed County Energy and Greenhouse Gas
Emissions Comprehensive Plan Element.
Supervisor Dietrich reported that there is a draft copy of the Proposed County and Greenhouse
Gas Emissions Comprehensive Plan Element on line on the County site. Representative Frank
Proto voted against it partially because he feels that he does not feel that the impact on our entity
have been thoroughly discussed.
Authorization for the Town Clerk to advertize for interested persons to apply for a possible
Planning Board, Board of Zoning Appeals and Danby Trails Committee.
Set dates for the Year-end meeting and the January Organizational meetings.
Possible dates -Year-end meeting - December 29th at 5:30 p.m.
Organizational Meeting - January 5th at 6:30.

The Town Board reviewed the information submitted by the Code Enforcement Officer for a
possible appointment to the vacant position of Code/Fire/Enforcement Officer and passed the

following resolution.
RESOLUTION NO. 80 OF 2008
APPOINTMENT TO THE POSITION OF CODE/FIRE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
By Councilperson Beavers: Seconded by Councilperson Salino
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Danby hereby appoints Russell A. Klinger to
the part-time position of Code/Fire Enforcement Officer,paid from Account A8010.130, and it is
FURTHER RESOLVED, that this appointment is provisional upon the completion of any
mandated training as established by the Department of State for Code Official certification, and
satisfactory completion of the civil service examination for such position.
A roll call vote on the resolution resulted as follows:
