PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SPRINKLERS BEYOND CODE REQUIRED MINIMUMS TO PROVIDE SYMMETRICALLAYOUTS AND AS INDICATED ON ARCHITECTURAL REFLECTED CEILING PLAN.5. ALL PENDENT SPRINKLERS IN AREAS WITH FINISHED CEILINGS SHALL BE INSTALLED ON RETURN BENDSCONNECTED TO THE TOP OF THE SUPPLYING BRANCH PIPE OR FLEXIBLE SPRINKLER CONNECTIONS.6. ALL UPRIGHT SPRINKLERS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN WITH 1" RISER NIPPLES AND REDUCING FITTINGS INACCORDANCE WITH DETAILS.7. BUSHINGS SHALL NOT BE USED.8. ALL PIPING SHALL BE ARRANGED TO DRAIN BACK TO CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY. WHERE PIPING CANNOTDRAIN BACK TO CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY PROVIDE ADDITIONAL DRAIN CONNECTIONS IN ACCORDANCEWITH NFPA 13 REQUIREMENTS.9. MAINTAIN REQUIRED CLEARANCES FROM INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO STRUCTURAL MEMBERS ANDCEILING MOUNTED EQUIPMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 13 REQUIREMENTS.10. MINIMUM 18" CLEARANCE SHALL BE MAINTAINED BETWEEN SPRINKLER DEFLECTOR AND TOP OF STORAGEAND SHELVING.11. PROVIDE DRY TYPE SPRINKLERS IN ALL WALK-IN COOLERS/FREEZERS AND ENTRY VESTIBULES.1. PURPOSE OF ENGINEERING DRAWINGS. THE DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC, THEY ARE NOT INTENDED TO BEABSOLUTELY PRECISE; THEY ARE NOT INTENDED TO SPECIFY OR TO SHOW EVERY OFFSET, FITTING AND COMPONENT.THE PURPOSE OF THE DRAWINGS IS TO INDICATE A SYSTEM CONCEPT, THE MAIN COMPONENTS OF THE SYSTEMS ANDTHE APPROXIMATE GEOMETRIC RELATIONSHIPS. ALL COMPONENTS SHOWN ARE NEW UNLESS SPECIFICALLY NOTED AS EXISTING.4. MAINTAIN MAXIMUM HEADROOM AT ALL LOCATIONS. ALL PIPING TO BE AS TIGHT TO UNDERSIDE OF DECK AS POSSIBLE. ALL EXPOSED PIPING SHALL BE APPROVED BY ARCHITECT AND SHALL MAINTAIN REQUIRED CLEARANCES.5. SYSTEMS SHALL RUN IN A RECTILINEAR FASHION.6. MAINTAIN COMPLETE AND SEPARATE SET OF INSTALLATION DRAWINGS ON SITE AT ALL TIMES. RECORD WORKCOMPLETED AND ALL MODIFICATIONS CLEARLY AND ACCURATELY.7. ALL SYSTEM COMPONENTS SHALL COMPLY WITH NFPA REQUIREMENTS AND BE FM APPROVED AND UL-LISTED, ANDSHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH LISTING REQUIREMENTS.8. THREADED ROD SHALL NOT BE FORMED OR BENT. ALL BOWED, BENT OR OTHERWISE DEFORMED THREADED RODSHALL BE REPLACED WITH NEW.9. ALL CONTROL VALVES SHALL BE INSTALLED SO THAT THE POSITION INDICATOR IS VISIBLE FROM THE FLOOR BELOW.10. PROVIDE IDENTIFICATION AT CONTROL VALVES, DRAIN VALVES AND TEST CONNECTIONS INDICATING VALVE FUNCTIONAND PORTION OF SYSTEM CONTROLLED.11. PROVIDE THROUGH PENETRATION FIRESTOP ASSEMBLIES AT ALL PENETRATIONS OF SMOKE AND/OR FIRE RATEDFLOORS AND WALLS IN ACCORDANCE WITH BUILDING CODE AND SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.12. WHEN THE WORK IS NEARING COMPLETION, THE FIRE PROTECTION CONTRACTOR'S PROJECT EXECUTIVE OR HIS/HERDESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE SHALL PHYSICALLY WALK DOWN THE INSTALLATION, EXAMINING IT IN DETAIL, ANDPREPARE A PUNCH LIST CONTAINING AN ITEMIZATION OF WORK REMAINING FOR 100% COMPLETION. SUBMIT THIS TOTHE ENGINEER WHO WILL THEN INSPECT THE WORK AND PREPARE THE ENGINEER'S PROJECT VISIT REPORT.1. STANDPIPE SYSTEM INSTALLATION SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 14 AS REFERENCED BY THE BUILDINGCODE.2. PROVIDE CONTROL VALVE AT CONNECTION OF EACH STANDPIPE TO FEED MAIN.3. PROVIDE DRAIN VALVE AT THE BASE OF EACH STANDPIPE.4. PROVIDE HOSE CONNECTION AT TOP LANDING OF STAIRS WITH STAIRWAY ACCESS TO ROOF. PROVIDE ROOFMANIFOLD WITH POST INDICATING VALVE THROUGH ROOF AT TOP OF STAIRS WITHOUT STAIRWAY ACCESS TO ROOF.5. PROVIDE TWO HOSE CONNECTIONS AT TOP OF HYDRAULICALLY MOST REMOTE STANDPIPE.6. PROVIDE PRESSURE GAUGE WITH CONTROL VALVE AND DRAIN PLUG AT THE TOP OF EACH STANDPIPE.7. PROVIDE AIR RELIEF VALVES AT THE TOP OF EACH STANDPIPE.1. THE DESIGN CONTENT OF THESE DRAWINGS IS INTENDED TO SATISFY THE STATE BUILDING CODE REQUIREMENTSFOR CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS . WHEN STAMPED AND SEALED BY THE ENGINEER OF RECORD THEY AREINTENDED TO BE USED AS PART OF THE BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION ONLY.2.
