Comments:
The edges at the top of the portals will be sealed.
The sides and back of the portal will be sealed
with 24 gage stainless steel, the same material
used in the rest of the portal. The front opening
will be sealed with spray insulation. Pipe
penetrations through the roof will also be sprayed
with foam insualtion. GC to provide additional
insulation to be laid on top.

Example portal, reviewed on site with Sure Temp andVecino Construction on 11/5/2020, and descriptionlisted here is acceptable.
A minimum of R-35 insulation must be installedwithin the portal, two layers of R-19 fiberglass battwould be acceptable.
The contractor and/or owner may want to consideran alternative to spray foam for sealing between therefrigerant lines and front opening of portal as sprayfoam will degrade overtime from UV exposure fromlight reflected off of TPO roofing.
