Compliance Report for 2020 Energy Conservation Code of NYS
Cayuga Park Medical Office Building
Cayuga Park, Ithaca NY 14850
Per requirements of 2020 Energy Conservation Code of NYS, Section C402.1 Application and Section
C407.3 Performance-Based Compliance, whole building energy models have been developed for the
project following Section C407.5 Calculation Procedure. The energy models have been developed using
the eQUEST version 3.64 software tool. Energy models of the standard reference design building and the
proposed building were constructed, and the yearly energy cost of each building was then compared.
The results from the energy models are shown in the table below.
Utility rates used in the modeling are current NYSEG rates for non-residential service as published on
NYSEG’s website, $0.061 per kwh for electricity.
As shown in the table above, the proposed building energy cost is less than 85 percent of the standard
reference design building, therefore the building is determined to be in compliance with 2020 Energy
Conservation Code of NYS, Section C407.3, Performance-Based Compliance, as defined in Section
C401.2, Application, Option 3.
Additional documentation is available on request.
In addition to compliance through whole building energy modeling, it is our understanding that the
project must also comply with the following required sections of the 2020 Energy Conservation Code of
Electricty Use
(kwh/yr)
Natural Gas
Use
(MMBtu/yr)
