SECTION 00 43 22 - UNIT PRICE
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS
A. Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General Conditions of the
Contract for Construction and other Division 00 & 01 Specification Sections, apply to
this Section.
1.2 SUMMARY
A. This Section includes administrative and procedural requirements for unit prices.
1.3 DEFINITIONS
A. Unit price is an amount proposed by bidders, as a price per unit of measurement for
materials or services added to or deducted from the Contract Sum by appropriate
modification, if estimated quantities of Work required by the Contract Documents are
increased or decreased.
B. Mobilization shall include all activities and associated costs for transportation of
contractor's personnel, equipment, and operating supplies to the site; establishment of
offices, buildings, and other necessary general facilities for the contractor's operations
at the site; premiums paid for performance and payment bonds including coinsurance
and reinsurance agreements as applicable; and other items specified in this
specification. Mobilization does not include the start of work at a specific area on the
project site while the contractor is present at other areas immediately prior to, during or
following the work.
1.4 PROCEDURES
A. Unit prices include all necessary supervision, labor, materials, and cost for delivery,
installation, insurance, overhead and profit.
B. Measurement and Payment: The extent of work associated with unit prices, is to be
determined in field by the General Contractor prior to the commencement of work. Any
work not having the prior approval of the General Contractor will be considered base
bid. Field verify all quantities prior to bid.
C. Owner reserves the right to reject Contractor's measurement of work-in-place that
involves use of established unit prices and to have this work measured by the Owner’s
Representative.
