Address 205 Prospect St Ithaca NY14850 Building is 2 storeys. Second floor 3-bedroom, den, 2 bathrooms apt. Also, first floor 3-bedroom, den, 2-bathroom apt. Property shell insulated as follows. Closed cell Spray foamed R30 to exterior walls and rim. Subfloor of first floor sprayed with R30 closed cell spray foam and attic with well-sealed hatch and R60 loose fill cellulose. Heat provided by LG heat pumps in all bedrooms and main living areas. Water heaters located in basement. Air temp 78 degrees outside and 75 degrees inside. One ventilation fan in each bathroom to exterior of each apt. and one whole apt ventilation fan in each apt. Also, electric stoves in both units with ventilation to exterior Washer and dryer in both units with ventilation to exterior Blowers test out. Each apt approx. 1550 sq. ft General wall height approx. 8 .5 ft second floor and 9ft first floor and partial height basement ACH equation in imperial units. N=60 Q/vol N=number air changes per hour Q= volumetric flow rate of air in cubic ft. per minute Vol= space volume L x B x Height House set up with interior doors open windows and exterior doors closed. No gas appliances in apt house. Heating system mini split heat pumps Blower test First floor DG1000 meter used. Blower adjusted for pressure differences. Base pressure -0.2. Using B ring blower test at 50 pascals pressure was measured for each apt The approx. sq. ft calculated at 1550 sq. ft. Blower test in lower unit 205 prospect St Blower test 654 cfm @50 pascals pressure Cubic ft on first floor apt 13, 950 cubic ft ACH 2.81 ACH in lower first floor apt. This apt passes the ACH 2020 code for air tightness. Second Floor apt Blower test in upper apt 205 Prospect st Base pressure -0.3 fan set at 50 pascals pressure with B ring DG1000 used for test. All windows and ext. doors closed. Sq. ft 1550 Height 8.5 ft Blower test 452cfm Ach of upper apt. cubic ft 13,175 ACH 2.06 This apt also passes the 2020 code for air tightness. Blower door test was (see above) cfm @50 pascals (pressure standard with BPI) Final ACH calculated at 3.0ACH or less. Building with 3 ACH or less passes new IECC 2020 residential code. Additional air sealing in gap in basement done by contractor required to achieve results as one leakage point that had been drilled discovered. Thank you.
