ADDENDUM NO. 1
March 16, 2020
This Addendum contains changes to the requirements of the Contract Documents and Specifications.
Such changes are to be incorporated into the Construction Documents and shall apply to the work with
the same meaning and force as if they had been included in the original document. W herever this
Addendum modifies a portion of a paragraph of the specifications or a portion of any Drawing, the
remainder of the Paragraph or Drawing shall remain in force.
NOTE: Provisions of all Contract Documents apply.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Item 1. Specification 01 14 00 W ORK RESTRICTIONS, Section 1.2
ADD
M. Dumpster will not be allowed in loading dock area. Debris truck may be parked in
loading dock area for a limited time and is not to interfere with deliveries. New
material may be staged in limited space in loading area. Loading dock use to be
coordinated with Cornell.

DELETE in its entirety.
REPLACE with revised Drawing E.10, attached.

Will the replacement of damaged wood flooring be addressed
as a change order, or will you establish an allowance to
address this concern?
The scope of wood floor repair or replacement will
not be known until the existing carpet is removed.

Please clarify what the "Removable Medex Display Panel " is
(6/A2.0, 6/A3.0). Is this something provided by the Owner? If
not, how many are there and what size?
Contractor to provide removable Medex Display
Panels, 8 total. Width of each panel is to match the
width of each of the 8 storage cabinets underneath the
countertop. Refer to 3/A2.0. For height, thickness
and slope of the panels, Contractor to refer to 6/A2.0,
5/A3.0 and 6/A3.0 and coordinate exact dimensions
with the rest of the millwork along the south wall.

Please provide the quantities for the removable hanging top
anchors and removable hanging frame lower anchors in detail
2 on A3.0. Is there a spec that could be provided for these
items?

Please provide a detail showing the intent for the hanging
ceiling panels called for in Alternate 1. Perimeter detail at the
wall/ceiling interface, joint layout, hanging detail.
Please provide the manufacturer’s standard
recommendation for perimeter and
hanging details. Align and center all joints with
ceiling light tracks, typ. Contractor to
provide layout for review during submittal review
process.

the hanging frame brackets shown on Detail 8/A3.0. Is there a
basis of design for the powder coated aluminum extrusion
shown on Detail 2/A3.0?

Please clarify if the gwb substrate for the acoustical plaster is
the existing ceiling or new ceiling.
The new acoustic plaster ceiling is to be installed at
the same elevation as the current GWB ceiling. Refer
to 3/A1.0, 4 & 5/A4.0. Contractor to determine if
any part of the existing ceiling construction can be
reused as substrate for the new acoustic plaster
ceiling.
