THE BASIS OF DESIGN MAXIMUM AIRFLOWS ARE DESIGNED TO MAINTAIN A 100 FPM FACE VELOCITY AT THE FUME HOOD. HOWEVER, IT MAY BE POSSIBLE TO OPERATE THE FUME HOODS WITH A FACE VELOCITY OF 80 FPM. THIS WILL BE DETERMINED AT THE TIME OF FUME HOOD CERTIFICATION. THE BACS CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BEING ON-SITE DURING FUME HOOD CERTIFICATION, AND RE-PROGRAM AS NEEDED TO RESET THE AIRFLOW SETPOINTS BASED ON THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS.
