LOCK BREAKER IN OPEN POSITION. 4 OPEN 500A FUSED SWITCH IN SWITCHBOARD SS-B2 FOR NORMAL FEED TO ATS #5. LOCK SWITCH IN OPEN POSITION. 5 DISCONNECT CONDUCTORS FROM LINE SIDE OF UPS #2. REMOVE CONDUIT AND CONDUCTORS BACK ATS-5. 6 START GENERATOR AND SWITCH ATS-3 TO EMERGENCY POWER. OPEN 500A SWITCH IN SWITCHBOARD SS-B2 FOR NORMAL FEED TO ATS-3. 7 OPEN 4000A MAIN SWITCH IN SS-B2. TIE SWITCH TO REMAIN OPEN. WHILE BUSS IS DE-ENERGIZED, REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF EXISTING 2 SETS OF 250 KCMIL CONDUCTORS FROM ATS-5 BACK TO SS-B2. DISCONNECT REMAINING POWER AND CONTROL CONDUCTORS AND SAVE FOR REUSE. REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ATS-5 AND REPLACE WITH A 600 AMP CLOSED TRANSITION ATS (NEW ATS-5). RECONNECT POWER AND CONTROL CONDUCTORS SAVED FROM REMOVAL. 8 PROVIDE NEW CONDUCTORS FROM SWITCH IN SS-B2 TO ATS-5. REFER TO ONE-LINE DIAGRAM FOR CONDUCTOR SIZES. REUSE EXISTING 3” CONDUIT. REPLACE THE 500 AMP FUSES WITH 600 AMP FUSES (TYPE KRP-C). SWITCH TO REMAIN LOCKED OPEN. 9 MAKE FINAL CONDUIT AND CONDUCTOR CONNECTIONS FROM RECTIFIER POWER PANEL TO NEW ATS-5. 10 CLOSE MAIN SWITCH AND RE-ENERGIZE SS-B2. 11 CLOSE 500 AMP SWITCH FOR ATS-3. TRANSFER ATS-3 BACK TO NORMAL POWER. 12 PROVIDE CONDUIT AND CONDUCTORS FROM GLOBAL BYPASS PANEL TO PANEL DS-EG FOR NEW BYPASS FEED. INSTALL CONDUIT AND CONDUCTOR INTO GENERATOR ROOM PRIOR TO SHUTDOWN. REFER TO ONE-LINE DIAGRAM FOR CONDUIT AND CONDUCTOR SIZES. FINAL CONNECTIONS AND TERMINATIONS TO BE MADE DURING EMERGENCY POWER SHUTDOWN. 13 OPEN GENERATOR BREAKER. DISCONNECT AND REMOVE THE 2 SETS OF EXISTING EMERGENCY FEEDERS BETWEEN ATS-5 AND THE 500 AMP BREAKER IN PANEL DS-EG. REMOVE 500 AMP BREAKER AND SAVE FOR BYPASS FEEDER CONNECTION. SHUNT WIRING CIRCUIT TO REMAIN FOR USE WITH NEW BREAKER. PROVIDE 600 AMP SPECTRA RMS BREAKER WITH SHUNT TRIP IN PLACE OF 500 AMP BREAKER. CONNECT SHUNT WIRING TO NEW BREAKER SHUNT LEADS. PROVIDE NEW FEEDER FROM 600 AMP BREAKER TO ATS-5. PROVIDE 12”X12”X6’ WIREWAY BETWEEN PANEL SECTIONS OF DS-EG. REINSTALL 500 AMP BREAKER WITH LUGS FACING WIREWAY. EXTEND SHUNT CIRCUITRY TO THE 500A BREAKER SHUNT LEADS AS NECESSARY. FINALIZE FEED FROM GLOBAL BYPASS PANEL AND TERMINATE TO THE 500 AMP BREAKER. DURING THIS TIME THE BUILDING WILL BE WITHOUT GENERATOR POWER AND CANNOT HAVE OCCUPANTS. COORDINATE THIS EMERGENCY POWER SHUTDOWN WITH THE FACILITY. 14 CLOSE GENERATOR BREAKER AND 600 AMP BREAKER IN PANEL DS-EG. CLOSE 600 AMP FUSED SWITCH FOR NORMAL POWER TO ATS-5. 15 REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF BATTERIES #3 AND #4 FOR EXISTING UPS #2. 16 INSTALL NEW BATTERIES #3 AND #4 FOR NEW UPS MODULE #2. PROVIDE CONDUIT AND CONDUCTORS FROM BATTERY CABINET TO UPS MODULE. CLOSE RECTIFIER PANEL MAIN BREAKER AND 600A BREAKER FEEDING UPS #2 AND PERFORM LOAD TEST PRIOR TO TRANSFERRING BUILDING LOAD TO UPS. BREAKERS FOR UPS #1 TO REMAIN OPEN UNTIL LOAD TEST IS TO BE PERFORMED. 1 08/16/19 ISSUE FOR DD REVIEW 2 03/20/20 ISSUE FOR 95% REVIEW 3 05/05/20 ISSUE FOR COORDINATED REVIEW 4 04/08/20 ISSUE FOR CONSTRUCTION
