Design new unit to reuse existing ductwork b. Perform HVAC load calcuations to size new unit c. Increase the amount of outside air as required to balance the store to a net-positive +4000 cfm d. Assume current supply air cfm is adequate e. Incorporate outside air control strategy for new AC unit based on prior remodel stores f. Motorized dampers to be abandoned in place. Disconnect motors and manually set for balancing. 6. Review meetings of progress and coordination/design questions may be required. Where applicable, these meetings may be carried out via Skype or other means. 7. Replace AC1: Basis of design for replacement unit shall be a Seasons 4 Air Handler 1. Any HVAC equipment changes must maintain a minimum of +4000 CFM pressurization within the store, relative to the outdoors. Refer to the Air Balance report provided for more information. Provide calculation spread sheet. 2. Provide Book Specifications as related to all areas of work. Specifications shall be initially based on Current Store Standards and editied as required to be applicable to this project. 3. Reuse existing curbs if possible. Utilize insulated roof curb adapters if required. 4. A site visit is required to caputre and document existing conditions, coordinate through Wegmans Design Services and Maintenance. 5. Request the most current DWG files from the former Engineer of Record if required. Assume current supply air cfm is adequate e. Incorporate outside air control strategy for new AC unit based on prior remodel stores f. Motorized dampers to be abandoned in place. Disconnect motors and manually set for balancing. a. Provide new CPC controller for AC1 and AC2. Connect new controllers to CPC network. b. Digital compressors as required by design for each area served c. Each area served is to utilize two temperature sensors averaged for space temperature control d. Each area served is to utilize one Dew Point sensor for space humidity control. e. Heating desing capacity 73 DF, cooling design capacity 71 DF dry bulb f. Maintained Dew Point: 52 DF Dew Point b. Modify existing steel as required for new unit weights. 1. Patch roof as required. 2. Modify or remove roof curbing as required. 3. Modify platforms for accessibility as required. 4. Coordinate color of unit with Wegmans 8. Replace AC2: Basis of design for replacement unit shall be a Seasons 4 Air Handler 9. New units shall be installed in the same locations, see M107 roof plans. Field verify exact locations. 10. Night setback is not required, store is 24/7. 11. Sensors are to be located such that production equipment, sinks, and airflows do not adversely affect reading. Field very current sensor locations. 12. HVAC - General Requirements g. Areas open to sales floor require dew point control to prevent refrigerated case condensation. Back hall area, enclosed offices, and other areas separted from the open sales floor do not require dew point control. 17. Special Systems - Provide new smoke detectors for new HVAC units. ARCHITECTURAL NOTES 13. HVAC engineer to meet on site with Store Maintenance and review the existing HVAC system concerns. HVAC engineer to provide meeting minutes to team. 14. Structural Scope of Work - a. Check esiting steel against new unit weights. If no steel modifications are required, provide a full size, signed and sealed structural roof plan indicating that no structural is required. 15. Plumbing - Provide a larger gas pipe for new HVAC units as required. 16. Electrical - Provide larger electrical feeders for new HVAC units as required. 100 Wegmans Market Street Rochester, NY 14624 Page 2 of 2 Form Version: 3.0
