Provide fabrication methods and product quality meeting standards set by Hollow Metal Manufacturers Association, HMMA, Division of National Association of Architectural Manufacturers, NAAMM. 1.02 SUBMITTALS A. Product Data: Submit manufacturer's specifications for fabrication and installation including data demonstrating compliance with specified requirements. B. Install doors in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and AWI P'200 requirements. B. Trim non -rated door width by cutting equally on both jamb edges. C. Trim door height by cutting bottom edges to a maximum of 3/4 inch (19 mm). D. Machine cut for hardware. Core for handsets and cylinders. E. Pilot drill screw and bolt holes. ALUMINUM DOOR GRILL: Door return grilies shall be Titus Model CT -700 for the sizes and mounting types as shown on the plans and outlet schedule. Outer borders shall be constructed of heavy extruded aluminum with a thickness of 0.040 to 0.050- inch and shall have countersunk screw holes for a neat appearance. Border width shall be 1 V4 -inch on all sides and shall be interlocked at the four corners and mechanically staked to form a rigid frame. Extruded aluminum inverted V -blades with a deflection angle of 770 shall be used to create a sight proof design and provide additional stiffness to the grille. The grille finish shall be #26 white. The finish shall be an anodic acrylic paint, baked at 315° F for 30 minutes. The pencil hardness must be HB to H. The paint must pass a 1 00 -hour ASTM Bi 17 Corrosive Environments Salt Spray Test without creepage, blistering or deterioration of film. The paint must pass a 250 -hour ASTM D870 Water Immersion Test. The paint must also pass the ASTM D2794 Reverse Impact Cracking Test with a 50 -inch pound force applied. The manufacturer shall provide published performance data for the grille. The grille shall be tested in accordance with ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 70-2006. Non-Loadbearing Framing System Components: ASTM 0 645; galvanized, 20 gauge sheet steel, of size and properties necessary to comply with ASTM C 754 for the spacing indicated, with maximum deflection of wall framing of L/240 at 5 psf. 1. Extend partition framing to structure supports or substrates above suspended ceilings, except where partitions are indicated to terminate at suspended ceilings. 2. Continue framing over frames for doors and openings and frame around ducts penetrating partitions above ceiling to provide support for gypsum board. a. Provide double track system comprised of outside deflection track and inside ceiling runner track at head of studs, nested together, with 1/2 clearance left between the tracks for deflection. Attach lower (inside) track to studs with framing screws. D. Openings: Reinforce openings as required for weight of doors, using two full height 20 gage studs at each jamb. 3.02 JOINT TREATMENT A. Paper Faced Gypsum Board: Use paperjoint tape, bedded with ready -mixed vinyl -based joint compound and finished with ready -mixed vinyl -based joint compound. B. Finish gypsum board in scheduled areas in accordance with Ievels defined in ASTM C84U. 0. Tape, fill, and sand exposed joints, edges, and corners to produce smooth surface ready to receive finishes, unless otherwise noted. 1. Feather coats ofjoint compound so that camber is maximum 1/32 inch. 2.
