HomeMy WebLinkAbout31 11 00CORNELL DIVISION 31 - EARTHWORK Ithaca, New York SECTION 31 11 00 -CLEARING AND GRUBBING CLARA DICKSON HALL CLEARING AND GRUBBING 31 11 00 - 1 WASTE & STORM LINE REPLACEMENT DECEMBER 31, 2014 SECTION 31 11 00 CLEARING AND GRUBBING 1.0 GENERAL 1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS A.Drawings and General Provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and other Division 1 Specification Sections, apply to work of this Section. 2.0 PRODUCTS (Not Applicable) 3.0 EXECUTION 3.1 CLEARING AND GRUBBING A.Unless otherwise indicated, remove promptly from site and legally dispose of all debris, brush, vegetation, rubbish, stones, boulders, materials not indicated to be salvaged, and other objectionable or perishable materials within contact limits. Remove all excavated material not suitable as backfill for “Select native material”. B.All removed debris, etc., bec omes property of Contract or and shall be legall y disposed of. No materials may be burned on the site. C.Remove from site and dispose of excavated materials unsuitable for fill and/or backfill. D.Remove excess excavated materials from site. E.The Contractor shall inform Cornell University of the location of trees and shrubs, which may need to be removed for the course of construction. If the University desires to retain the trees or shrubs, they shall be removed and replace by the University. If the University decides not to keep the designated trees, the Contractor shall remove and dispose of them. The Contractor shall replace at his cost any trees and shrubs damaged by him during construction. ***END OF SECTION 31 11 00***
