ViaWirrch is a self-contained motorized winch with an 8:1 safety
factor designed for overhead lifting with redundant braking.
It is rated for various line pulls utilizing a 1 4" drive line on a
grooved aluminum drumwith a travel of 70' and a range of
speeds to suit all your lifting needs. An on -board starter cabinet
allows the use of a plug-in pendant for operation, soft start/soft
stop and a power requirement of 1 20v 20 amps at the winch.
ViaWinch is specifically constructed to be mounted in various
orientations for a variety of uses, including ca deck winch, clew-
w'inch,, or grid -mounted point hoist. With its compact size and

Additional options include incorporating a
standard clew with up to (10) lift lines
or a double purchase clew allowing for up
to (6) lift lines with a total overall travel of

equipment suppliers. The TEC MUST be an authorized dealer for the products proposed
for inclusion in this project If requested the TEC shall be produce a letter from the
manufacturer(s) stating that the TEC is an authorized dealer for their products.
1. Regulatory Requirements:
UL Labels: All items of equipment and individual components where applicable standards

have been established, shall be listed by the Underwriter's Laboratories Inc. and shall bear
the UL label when delivered and installed on the job.
NEC Compliance: Comply with the National Electric Code NEPA 70 as applicable to

installation and construction of stage lighting and control equipment.
NEMA Compliance: Comply with the standards of the National Electrical Manufacturers

Association pertaining to components of stage lighting equipment.
The systems shall conform to all applicable code requirements and shall conform to the
industry standards of operation and practices. All materials, arrangements, and procedures
shall comply with applicable OSHA requirements, allowing the users to arrange and operate
a safe assembly and workingenvironment for audience and userpersonnel.

Turnbuckles shall be domestically produced, drop forged and galvanized. Turnbuckles
shall be moused after adjustment to prevent loosening.

Trim chains shall be of appropriate length and are to be constructed from Grade 63 'A" all(iy

The trim chain shall wraP tvvice around the upper support batten and connect to the
projection screen brackets using a1/4" round pin anchor shackle.

EL Dead Hung Suspension Cables:
All cables shall be 7 x 19 construction, galvanized utility cable. Winch drive cables shall be
3/8" diameter with 14,200 pound breaking strength. All loft and clew guide cables are to be
1/4" diameter with 7,000 pounds breaking strength.
Damaged or deformed cable shall not be used. All wire rope rigging shall be installed so as to

equipment.
Cable clips are not acceptable for arty cable termination. Cable terminations shall conform to
wire rope manufacturer's recommendations as to size, number, and method of installation.
All cable terminations are to include copper swage fittings.

fitting manufacturer's instructions, using the appropriate tools, and checked with a "Go - No

A Stage Curtain Tracks:
Furnish and install new Traveler and Leg track assemblies. This is to include new hi -
parting track systems for the Main Traveler, Midstage Traveler, and Rear Traveler as well as
1 -way draw tracks for the Masking Leg Curtains. All tracks shall be Automatic devices Co.
