Meeting Minutes
Attendance: Liz Klohmann, Barnaby Knoll, Jesse Tedora, George McGonigal,
Jason Hecht and Jody A. Hallett-Harris

Meeting called to order at 6:13 p.m. by Jason Hecht
Roll call and introductions of Board Members and of guest Halle Mahoney – Cornell University Student
attending a meeting for her SEBA Class.
The minutes from April, May & June were all approved – Jason made the motion and Barnaby 2nd the
motion – all were in favor.
Follow up on the City Committee Restructuring and Jason stated he had met with Deb recently to discuss
the changes/restructuring and its effect. This goes to vote in November and Common Council has
approved it and the Mayor does support this.
Staff and Program Updates:
The Recreation Program Assistant position (formerly Administrative Assistant) has been interview and
this position will be doing office and recreation work. Liz went over some of the IYB summer highlights
and accomplishments that staffs were asked to send to share. YES had over 200 teens and they worked a
total of $20,789 hours and earned approximately $201,000.00 in wages! Some of the teens were also
permanently hired from these summer positions. CDP has 22 new 6th grade students starting. CDP Board
will be an event on 11/4 at Cultivare and invitations will be sent out. Hate Free IYB postcards were made
and passed out to show our support for Charlettsville, VA. There are postcards here and available if
anyone would like to take some.
Radio Slot was a great success and many people heard it and commented on it. A big THANK YOU to
Jesse and Cayuga Radio for making this happen!!
George McGonigal – Common Council – No updates
Friends of IYB – Mary Grainger working hard on the Cass Park enclosure of rink campaign and lots of
information was available and given out to IYB board members to take and share. There is a gala on 9/30
and 11/5 there is a Cass Park Extravaganza.
