NOTIFY ENGINEER FOR FIELD VERIFICATION OF EXISTING STRUCTURE. 3. REMOVE ONLY EXISTING GIRDERS THAT ARE NOT ALIGNED BELOW EXISTING PORCH COLUMNS. SHORE EXISTING PORCH ROOF FRAMING AS REQUIRED. 4. EXCAVATE AS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION OF NEW CONCRETE PIERS. EXCAVATE ON BOTH SIDES OF EXISTING FOUNDATION WALL SIMULTANEOUSLY. DO NOT ALLOW UNBALANCED SOIL PRESSURES AGAINST EXISTING FOUNDATION WALL. 5. INSTALL NEW CONCRETE PIERS. CONSTRUCT TIGHT TO BOTTOM OF EXISTING GIRDERS THAT REMAIN. 6. SAWCUT EXISTING GIRDERS AND REMOVE, 7. EXCAVATE FOR FOUNDATION DRAIN. 8. INSTALL FOUNDATION DRAIN, PARGE COAT, WATERPROOFING, AND INSULATION. SEE E71A501. 9. BACKFILL EXCAVATION. SEE E7/A501. 10.
