Which was established as a Flom: -.C-Iutoation y-Pjr ; ac-o by my
daughter.
MR. MP-RFIN: There was a prior variance for a wir; shop which
was conducted by Py,rs. Andy i,ncllrews.
dRS. DENNIS: My daughter has since left the area and sold the
business to one of the employees who worked for her, and he would
like to continue operating at this address.
tiR. BODINir: Has this property always been a commercial business?
,RS. DLNNIS: This has always been a business location since we
owned the building. It was originally built as a hotel and my
husband and I operated a grocery store from 1939 until 19j0.
Then it was used for a number of years after we clo ed the store
as a Laundromat operated by ;r">_r. Nelson. I.Vhen the laundromat close
it was vacant until the variance was granted for th- wig shop.
Then the wig shop closed up my daughter started ;_' c Dial-a-letter
"usiness.
YR. GAS1':Z1G R: Why couldn't you use it as a residence?
MRS. D `11-c: It would be too costly to convert it L-Ito another
unit and it would be more room than what is neer':-d - or the tanant
on the first floor.
1e4.R. VARZAK: What about parking. oroblems'?
1,4RS. DLNNIS: No problem with parking as most of the business is
done over the telephone or by personal contact to their customers.
MR. KASPRZAK: Are there any employees?
FIRS. DaNNIS: No one except the owner.
pTl. KASP:1ZAK: Does he operate after bush--,s hours?
;1RS. D-,-NNIS: No, he most generally is gone by 4:00 or 4:30.
Pvr'l. GAjT_`IGaL: I just want to add that every time a business
changes in this paticular zone, they need to apply for a new
variance. Now, how many dwelling units are there?
I-ARS. DENNIS: I live on the second floor and a tenant lives on
the first floor in the rear.
eu"R. MARTIN: Is there anyone who would like to s)cak on this .ase?
:"anyone in opposition? If not then this hearing is closed.
