2.1 Live Streaming of Meetings
City Clerk Conley Holcomb gave an overview of the city’s current franchise agreement
with PEGASYS. Our contract supports live streaming of 3 standing committee meetings
plus an additional 15 hours each year. Whether or not more meetings could be
livestreamed on Channel 15 would also have to do with whether another meeting was
being broadcast at that time. The question was asked as to whether live streaming is
the most effective way to get information from meetings to community members.
The Commissioners, City Clerk Conley Holcomb and PIS Faraday discussed other
options for getting information from the city’s meetings to the public- podcasts,
streaming audio without video, public information broadcast.
2.2 Creation of a Website Working Group
The Commissioners, Clerk Conley Holcomb, and PIS Faraday had a conversation about
what would be desired to achieve from forming a working group for the re-working of the
city’s website. PIS Faraday will provide a list of other municipalities that use the same
website vendor as we do in order to provide a spectrum of their visual layouts and user
features to Commissioners.
2.3 Benchmarking Communities Regarding Dogs on Pedestrian Malls
Commissioners Comella and Segerson reviewed a list questions and several
