Meghan Molloy is the new Local History Librarian at Tompkins County Public Library, and she promised to consult with the staff about the technical considerations involved.  PEGASYS Equipment Maintenance and Repair We have a laptop that has intermittent power issues. I will be sending it up to our engineer for evaluation later this week.  WENY WENY is back on Spectrum’s line-up in Ithaca, on channel 11. They have contacted the county about showing Tompkins County legislature meetings on their channel in addition to channel 15. The advantage to the county would be the possibility to show their meetings in HD.  Special Programs We are running 2 election debate shows provided by Manhattan Ne ighborhood Network, featuring the Democratic candidates for NYS Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General. It looks like we will also have a local debate show on the Tompkins County sheriff’s race, which will be recorded by the Ithaca Voice and submitted by sheriff candidate Josh Brokaw.  Personnel The new Charter access staff person for Charter’s access office in Cortland, Jonathon Stamp, has been training in Ithaca, with the intent of providing another person who can provide backup in case I am unavailable. He will be working on the days when Jim Hofecker is not available during my vacation, so, contrary to what I thought last month, we will not need to have any days when we are closed while I am gone.
