APPROVAL OF MINUTES Commissioner Richardson made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 8, 2000 meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis . Motion carried 2-0 . NEW BUSINESS New Position Duties Statement: DPW/Water and Sewer - Assistant Engineering Systems Manager The Commission reviewed and discussed a New Position Duties Statement from the Water and Sewer Division of the Department of Public Works . Commissioner Bantuvanis made a motion to classify the position as Assistant Engineering Systems Manager. Seconded by Commissioner Richardson. Motion carried 2-0. New Position Duties Statement: Planning Department - Planner II (temporary, part-time) The Commission reviewed and discussed a New Position Duties Statement from the Planning Department for a temporary (six month) , part-time (20 hours/week) position to assist with the increased workload in the department. Commissioner Richardson made a motion to classify the position as Planner II, and to authorize the position for the period 07/01/00-12/31/00 . Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis . Motion carried 2-0 . New Position Duties Statement: Planning Department - Environmental and Landscape Planner (temporary, part-time) The Commission reviewed and discussed a New Position Duties Statement from the Planning Department for a temporary (six month) , part-time (20 hours/week) position to assist with the increased workload in the department. Commissioner Richardson made a motion to classify the position as Environmental and Landscape Planner, and to authorize the position for the period 07/01/00-12/31/00. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis . Motion carried 2-0. Civil Service Commission June 19, 2000 Page 2 OLD BUSINESS New Position Duties Statement and Adoption of Job Description: City Attorney' s Office - Senior Associate Attorney This item remained tabled pending further information from the Mayor . CONTINUING BUSINESS Commissioner Bantuvanis made a motion to go into executive session to discuss civil service examination matters . Seconded by Commissioner Richardson. Motion carried 2-0 . During executive session, the Commission took the following actions : Approval of Rosters of Candidates for Examination Commissioner Richardson made a motion to approve the Rosters of Candidates for Examination listed below. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis . Motion carried 2-0 . Coordinator of the Department of Community Services # 77-508 Housing Inspector # 78-930 Tenant Relations Coordinator # 77-597 Revision of Eligible List Commissioner Richardson made a motion to revise Police Officer eligible list #60-850 by adding the name of a candidate whose score was missing from the original transmittal of examination scores . The candidate was added to the list at the appropriate rank. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis . Motion carried 2-0 . Addition of Names to Continuous Recruitment Eligible Lists Commissioner Richardson made a motion to add the names listed below to the continuous recruitment eligible lists indicated for a one year period. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis . Motion carried 2-0 .
