APPROVAL OF MINUTES Commissioner Richardson made a motion to approve the minutes of the January 18, 2000 meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis. Motion carried 2-0. NEW BUSINESS New Position Duties Statement: GIAC - Senior Typist The Commission reviewed and discussed a New Position Duties Statement from GIAC. Commissioner Bantuvanis made a motion to classify the position as Senior Typist. Seconded by Commissioner Richardson. Motion carried 2-0 . Revision of Customer Service Representative Job Description and Establishment of Position of Customer Service Representative Trainee City Chamberlain Debra Parsons presented a request to the Commission to establish the position of Customer Service Representative Trainee in her office. The trainee position will be used to provide new employees with on-the-job training and classroom training to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to perform at the full Customer Service Representative level . The traineeship will last for one year, after which employees who have successfully completed the traineeship requirements will automatically be promoted to the full performance level . The Commission discussed Ms . Parson' s request and plans with her. Commissioner Richardson made a motion to adopt and implement the Civil Service Commission February 15, 2000 Page 2 Customer Service Representative Trainee job description as proposed, and to revise the Customer Service Representative job description to reflect the implementation of the traineeship. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis . Motion carried 2-0. New Position Duties Statement and Adoption of Job Description: Mayor' s Office - Drug Taskforce Coordinator The Commission reviewed and discussed a New Position Duties Statement from the Mayor' s Office and a proposed new job description for Drug Taskforce Coordinator. Commissioner Bantuvanis made a motion to classify the position as Drug Taskforce Coordinator and adopt the job description as proposed. Seconded by Commissioner Richardson. Motion carried 2-0 . Approval of 1999 Annual Report The Commission reviewed and discussed the 1999 Annual Report to the State Civil Service Department. Commissioner Richardson made a motion to approve the annual report as presented. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis . Motion carried 2-0 . CONTINUING BUSINESS Commissioner Bantuvanis made a motion to go into executive session to discuss civil service examination matters . Seconded by Commissioner Richardson. Motion carried 2-0 . During executive session, the Commission took the following actions : Approval of Rosters of Candidates for Examination Commissioner Richardson made a motion to approve the Rosters of Candidates for Examination listed below. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis. Motion carried 2-0 . Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis . Motion carried 2-0. Addition of Names to Continuous Recruitment Eligible Lists Commissioner Richardson made a motion to add the names listed below to the continuous recruitment eligible lists indicated for a one year period. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis. Motion carried 2-0 .
