Present: Jesse Hill, Tom Shelley, Maureen Bolton, George McGonigal, Adam Fishel, Matt Yarrow

Meeting was called to order at 6:00
Four students were present form IHS government classes to observe a City meeting.
Review of Draft Resolution concerning Cargill’s proposed Shaft #4: The Draft Resolution that was
drawn up and submitted to the NYSDEC office in Cortland, NY was reviewed by the CAC members.
Shelley reported on the EMC’s position on the proposed project. Comparison of geologic conditions that
led to the collapse in Retsof , New York, the fragile nature of the local water table, and the issue of the
visual impact of a 90 foot tower were examined. After discussion no changes to the resolution were
recommended. Hill made a motion to accept the resolution; the motion was seconded by Shelley. Voting
for acceptance was unanimous. The resolution will now be sent to various entities including but not
restricted to The NYS Commissioner of the DEC, MSHA; Mining Safety and Health Administration
under the Department of Labor, and possibly the NYS governor’s office.
Site Reviews: None of the projects submitted required comment from CAC.
Storm Water Report: Three invitations to present the Storm Water Report to the Planning
Department for review and comments have not received a response. McGonigal will pursue the
matter.
