Home My WebLink AboutMN-CIV-1993-12-13 t \ 21 CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING December 13 , 1993 Present: Commissioner Bantuvanis, Commissioner Middleton, Commissioner Perko, Valerie Saul (Personnel Administrator) , Bonnie Fiorille (Senior Stenographer) Commissioner Bantuvanis called the meeting to order at 11:07 a.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Commissioner Perko made a motion to accept the minutes of the November 15, 1993 meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Middleton. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS RECLASSIFICATION REQUEST/ADOPTION OF JOB DESCRIPTION: ASSISTANT TO THE CITY PROSECUTOR The Commission reviewed a Reclassification Request and a proposed job description for the position of Assistant to the City Prosecutor. Personnel Administrator Saul stated that this position has been approved in the budget. Commissioner Perko made a motion to reclassify the Senior Typist position in the City Prosecutor's Office to Assistant to the City Prosecutor and to adopt the job description as proposed. Seconded by Commissioner Middleton. Motion carried. NEW POSITION DUTIES STATEMENT/ADOPTION OF JOB DESCRIPTION: ICSD - SCHOOL DISTRICT CLERK The Commission reviewed and discussed a New Position Duties Statement and a proposed job description for the position of School District Clerk. Personnel Administrator Saul explained that this position needs to be classified and a job specification needs to be adopted. This position would be placed in the exempt class. Commissioner Perko made a motion to classify the position as School District Clerk and to adopt the proposed job description. Seconded by Commissioner Middleton. Motion carried. Commissioner Middleton made a motion to direct a Public Hearing to add the position of School District Clerk to the exempt class at the February 14, 1994 Civil Service Commission meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Perko. Motion carried. NEW POSITION DUTIES STATEMENT/ADOPTION OF JOB DESCRIPTION: YOUTH BUREAU - YOUTH PROGRAM COORDINATOR (AUTOMOTIVE PROGRAM) The Commission reviewed a New Position Duties Statement from the Youth Bureau and a proposed job description for the position of Youth Program Coordinator (Automotive Program) . This position was funded in the budget. Commissioner Perko made a motion to classify the position as Youth Program Coordinator (Automotive Program) and to adopt the proposed job description. Seconded by Commissioner Middleton. Motion carried. 22 Civil Service Commission Meeting - December 13, 1993 Page 2 NEW POSITION DUTIES STATEMENT: YOUTH BUREAU - YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM r: LEADER The Commission reviewed a New Position Duties Statement for Youth Development Program Leader. Commissioner Middleton made a motion to classify the position as Youth Development Program Leader. Seconded by Commissioner Perko. Motion carried. CONTINUING BUSINESS Commissioner Bantuvanis made a motion to go into Executive Session to discuss Civil Service examination matters. Motion carried.
