Pezde , Executive Secretary REGULAR MEETING CITY OF ITHACA CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION April 13, 1987 Present: Commissioner Bantuvanis, Commissioner Schickel , Executive Secretary Pezdek, Ms. S. Denise Malone, Ms. Dorothy Hunter, Superintendent Dougherty Commissioner Schickel called the meeting to order at 7:43 P.M. Commissioner Schickel moved that the Minutes of the March meeting be approved. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis : Motion carried. 145 DPW RE-CLASSIFICATION SURVEY 1 Commissioner Schickel invited Superintendent of Public Works Dougherty to address the Commission on the Re-Classification Survey of his department. Following Superintendent Dougherty's remarks the Commission questioned him on various points which had arisen as a result of the appeals hearings. Some of the points were of a technical nature others involved background information on various positions. The Commission decised after it had finished reviewing the material that it wished to wait until all commission members were present to make the final decisions on the survey. Commissioner Schickel thanked. Superintendent Dougherty for tis time and the information which he provided to the Commission. POLICE OFFICER TRANSFER REQUEST Executive Secretary Pezdek informed the Commission that Police Chief Herson had decided to pull his request for the transfer of Mr. Paul Pagliaro from the Tompkins County Sheriff's Depa-tment to the Ithaca Police force. Commissioner Bantuvanis asked Mr. Pezdek if the Chief had given any reason for his action. Mr. Pezdek replied that the Chief gave no reason for his decision. CIVIL SERVICE PERSONNEL CONSOLIDATION The Commission reviewed and discussed the documents prepared by Personnel Administrator p p Y Baker on the above subject. The Commission expressed the desire to have the full Commission present to discuss this matter. It also reviewed the C & 0 letter and minute Following the discussion Commissioner Schickel moved to table the matter until the May meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis. Motion carried. ROSTERS OF CANDIDATES Commissioner Schickel moved that the following Rosters of Candidates for Examination be approved: Assistant Superintendent of Public Works, No. 67-249 and Principal Clerk, No. 74-242. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis . The Commission reviewed the Rosters then voted. Motion carried. OLD BUSINESS None ANNOUNCEMENTS 1.
