ELECTION OF CHAIRPERSON Commissioner Eastman made a motion to elect Commissioner Richardson as Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission. Seconded by Commissioner Richardson. Motion carried 2-0. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Commissioner Richardson made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 1, 2004 meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Eastman. Motion carried 2-0. NEW BUSINESS New Position Duties Statement and Revision of Job Description: Information Technology - Network Integration Specialist The Commission reviewed and discussed a New Position Duties Statement from the Information Technology Department and a proposed revision to the Network Integration Specialist job description. The revision updates the title of the position's supervisor. Commissioner Richardson made a motion to classify the position as Network Integration Specialist and revise the job description as requested. Seconded by Commissioner Eastman. Motion carried 2-0. New Position Duties Statement and Adoption of Job Description: Information Technology - Senior Network Integration Specialist The Commission reviewed and discussed a New Position Duties Statement from the Information Technology Department and the proposed job description for Senior Network Integration Specialist. Commissioner Richardson made a motion to classify the position as Senior Network Integration Specialist and adopt the job description as proposed. Seconded by Commissioner Eastman. Commissioner Richardson made a motion to classify the position as Typist. Seconded by Commissioner Eastman. Motion carried 2-0. Request to Accept Late Application The Commission reviewed and discussed a request from a candidate for Youth Program Coordinator Exam No. 76-690 to accept her late application. Commissioner Richardson made a motion to accept the late application. Seconded by Commissioner Eastman. Motion carried 2-0. EXECUTIVE SESSION (Commissioner Thompson arrived.) Commissioner Richardson made a motion to enter into executive session to discuss civil service examination matters and a request to remove a candidate from the eligible lists on which his name appears. Seconded by Commissioner Thompson. Motion carried 3-0. During executive session, the Commission took the following actions: Request to Disqualify Candidate The Commission reviewed and discussed a request to remove a candidate from the eligible lists on which his name appears, pursuant to Section 50.4(e), Section 50.4(f) and Section 50.4(g) of the NYS Civil Service Law. After discussion, Commissioner Richardson made a motion to remove the candidate's name from the specified eligible lists as requested. Seconded by Commissioner Thompson. Motion carried 3-0. CONTINUING BUSINESS Approval of Rosters of Candidates for Examination Commissioner Richardson made a motion to approve the Rosters of Candidates for Examination listed below. Seconded by Commissioner Thompson. Motion carried 3-0.
