APPROVAL OF MINUTES Commissioner Thompson made a motion to approve the minutes of the November 3, 2004 meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Richardson. Motion carried 3-0. NEW BUSINESS New Position Duties Statement: Ithaca City School District - Senior Typist The Commission reviewed and discussed a New Position Duties Statement from the Ithaca City School District. Commissioner Thompson made a motion to classify the position as Senior Typist. Seconded by Commissioner Richardson. Motion carried 3-0. Request to Accept Late Application The Commission reviewed and discussed a request from a candidate for Police Officer Exam No. 69-385 to accept his late application. Commissioner Richardson made a motion to deny the request. Seconded by Commissioner Thompson. Motion carried 3-0. OLD BUSINESS Classification Study Appeals The Commission reviewed, discussed and made classification decisions on several appeals submitted in response to the tentative classification recommendations of the CSEA Classification and Compensation Study. The decisions made at the meeting will be reflected in the final classification recommendations that the Commission ultimately adopts. CONTINUING BUSINESS Commissioner Richardson made a motion to enter into executive session to discuss civil service examination matters. Seconded by Commissioner Thompson. Motion carried 3-0. Seconded by Commissioner Thompson. Motion carried 3-0. Establishment of Eligible Lists Commissioner Thompson made a motion to establish the eligible lists specified below for the time period indicated. Seconded by Commissioner Richardson. Motion carried 3-0. Geographic Information Systems Map Technician #69-116 (2 years) Tenant Relations Assistant #66-913 (2 years) Authorization to Establish Eligible Lists During becember 2004 Commissioner Eastman made a motion to authorize Executive Secretary Valerie Saul to establish eligible lists during the month of becember 2004 immediately upon the receipt of examination marks. This will facilitate the immediate appointment of provisional candidates and reduce the agency provisional rate. Ms. Saul will report the establishment of any such eligible lists to the Commission at their January 2005 meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Richardson. Motion carried 3-0. Addition of Names to Continuous Recruitment Eligibility Lists Commissioner Richardson made a motion to add the names listed below to the continuous recruitment eligible lists indicated for a one year period. Seconded by Commissioner Thompson. Motion carried 3-0.
