A Special Joint Meeting of the ITHACA LANDMARKS PRESERVATION COMMISSION (ILPC) and the PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT BOARD
will be held at 6:00 p.m. on JANUARY 26TH, 2016 in COMMON COUNCIL CHAMBERS, City Hall, 108 E. Green Street, Ithaca, NY.

Project Description: The applicant is presenting two alternative layouts for discussion. The project seeks to
combine two parcels, remove the existing buildings (the former Tompkins County Library and the Lifelong
center), and construct a new 4‐story building with offices and building amenities (fitness center, etc.) on the
ground floor and 60 one‐ and two‐bedroom senior‐focused apartments on the upper floors. The ground‐floor
office space will be occupied primarily by Lifelong. Site development will include parking for up to 56 cars, a
garden area for residents, and other site improvements. The existing building at 121 Court St. will remain. The
project is in the CDB‐50 Zoning District and the DeWitt Park Historic District. The project will require a
Certificate of Appropriateness from the ILPC and Site Plan Approval from the Planning and Development Board.
